Description
"Lost In Paradise" is an Organic LitRPG Isekai. This means that the LitRPG mechanics are not digital but a part of the world integrated through magic. While there are no levels or experience in a direct, visual sense, those aspects are represented through mechanics in the world, such as a magic book that keeps account of a person's items, quests, etc.; tattoos on the arms and fingers representing levels; eye color for mana capacity; and more. Most of the tags I included fit this story. If I added one that doesn't quite hit the genre you were looking for, I felt that if you enjoyed that genre, those elements would be close enough in this story for you to enjoy it. Updates Mondays at 11:30 PM EST. (No chapters on the last week of each month) ----- A nameless soul awakens in a formless body, adrift in an endless sky, and trapped in a cage. It knows nothing—only that it was someone else before and that a distant, unknown force has plucked it from reality as it was on the brink of death. That being—a faceless God-like creature—casts this poor soul into an unknown world where it awakens as a baby girl adrift at sea. Found as an infant among a wrecked ship that claimed the lives of her parents, this nameless soul is taken in by a pair of humans. But even as she grows under their care and is named "Yennifer," she remains an outsider. A devil. A creature barely tolerated, forever seen as less on a continent ruled by humans. Yet, as Yen learns the ways of the world—its magic, monsters, and the power hidden within herself—she begins to discover what it truly means to live in a world void of paradise.

So all round a high quality book. I hope you keep up the consistency Even if it takes you longer. I Appreciate the time and effort you put it and it shows in the writing - Painspider11Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Not very good at reviews so will keep short. The original version of this was great and so is this version.
The characterisation is great and the world building has been good and shown to be vast. Power is also presented in a pretty unique way that I’ve never seen before. Minimal grammar errors and just the right mix of action and well non-action.
good story. - Try showingRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Its a novel that's amazing, I been reading and am impressed about the story and the plot ahead. The grammar is okay, the pacing is alright, the characters is where it shine the most especially the mc. I love how she portrayed as smart and knowledgeable but lacking the proper experience.
I highly recommend it, - over350pillowsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Very good read so far!!!
I’ve been reading this story For a while on patron, I like the writing style of the author, aside from that the story, good elements starting to build up and a lot of very good potential, so give it a chance and check it out I hope to see more in the future of this novel
So here’s a shout out and a thumbs up!👍 - Lightwing DuckRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I read Julius Rictor's earlier sort-of-alternative-universe-prequel/draft (this is not the technical term), which I very much enjoyed. For the rest of this review I will stick to Lost in Paradise, but suffice it to say that I trust and like the author and believe that this story is in excellent hands.
The child later known as Yen is born into a new world as a non-human, a devil, on board a ship which is foundering in a storm. She does not have the memories of her old life, but does have her knowledge and skills, helping her to develop quickly. And she needs to develop quickly: from the start she is in danger, and while soon adopted by a loving couple she is in a world that distrusts and hates her kind. To add to all this, Yen knows that there is something wrong with her thought patterns and there seems to be somebody else is taking an interest in her fledgling life...
So far, the world has been restricted to the small village that Yen is brought up in, but it is brought to life beautifully. The inhabitants of Sandy Branch feel like they have their own concerns and interests separate to Yen, whilst characters such as her parents and Nigel likewise are drawn well.
Yen is introspective and not a little manipulative, for reasons that become clearer as her tale progresses. One of Julius Rictor's strengths as a writer is his ability to link a protagonists actions to their thoughts to their character. You can not only see Yen develop, but you can see why she develops the way she does.
As of the time of writing this review, Yen is still finding her feet in the world. Nevertheless, there have already been some action set pieces, plus the occasional light hearted moment as Yen starts to make her first friend.
The grammar is excellent: I'm never sure what needs writing for this section.
Give Lost in Paradise a read! - Naunick_HDRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A very fun story, and in my opinion an improvement over the very bleak first draft.
The first draft began with a scene that gave a snapshot of a situation that sounded like the world was ending and it was the MC‘s fault.
From there we started with a depressed and later oppressed MC who only breaks out of that oppression towards the end. All in all I loved the first draft for how it was written and the way the themes were handled, but it was a depressing story in a world that seemed bleak.
In opposition to that first draft here we have characters who honestly care about the MC and the Problem is not one of being born a nobles daughter, but instead it is the fact that the MC is a race wich is despised where she lives.
This is better because it gives her more freedom in the sense that she isn‘t bound to the Castle, and in other ways too.
I also prefer the magic system though I do have a little problem with the way our MC‘s power is improved, though I assume there is a reason it happened that way wich will be revealed later.
All in all I love the direction this version is going and I want to read more of it. - MASS GamerRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Honestly this is one of the best I've read in a while. Holy moly. The website has been a little oversaturated for a while, so I've been feeling very unsatisfied, but this did way more than scratch the itch I had. At first when I was reading it came off a little bland and I think that's due to not much world building, I think you could definitely add in a bit more of that. Where you're lacking in that you more than make up for it in your ability to hook the reader into the story. You've wonderfully mastered the basic, but not simple, parts of story telling: from introduction to climax and back down to resolution. Many people confuse progression with the inability to follow dramatic story structure. They are not mutually exclusive.
Ok, analysis of things more in depth: (spoilers ahead)
To touch on something that I think doesn't matter unless you're really lacking is grammar. I didn't notice any blinding holes or mess ups so, you're good there!
When it comes to world building, I think that you could definitely improve. To be clear you didn't do anything bad, I just think there are parts that could be better. What I mean by that is the world was blurry to me. I was with the MC and moved with her, but I didn't know where I was. Was she traveling on a dirt road that when on horseback kicked up enough dust to taste it? When she went home, did she gaze upon the old and worn facade of a house that under scrutiny would become withered and broken in many places. I just think you could be a bit more descriptive. Not excessively either, purple prose is just as bad.
Not just on the local scale but grand scale. You've outlined the places, but not much has been done to fill it out. For example, the beginner forest. I know you'll be getting to that soon enough, but is the forest right next to town is it a grueling 30 minute trek uphill. You mentioned a few towns, but I have no idea where they are. Where's the capital? You don't have to say these thing right away, I understand. I rat - KingkelzRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Honestly the book has been good so far
The storyline is good enough, the world building is also good don't get me wrong there are a lot of places that could have been handled better but all in all the book isn't bad(I don't really know how to give a review)
Give it a try - 23nRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The story is good, it has great characters with an extensive world built around them. The mayic system is a mix of something new and something classic, but that makes it understandable and interesting.
I only have two things I don't like about it: 1.) There aren't a lot of chapters, and there's a lot of time between new chapters. 2.) The grammar needs a fair amount of improvement.
Besides that, I'd recommend to anyone into this genre.
