Description
You are what you eat.
Redmane's Skill is unique — as long as he can get his jaws around something, he can eat it.
Centuries of imprisonment haven't dulled his appetite for revenge, and when his jailers feed him something they shouldn't — Divine Flesh, served cold — he shatters the chains that bind him.
Redmane emerges into a dangerous and unfamiliar world, where figures appear from his forgotten past. Some offer aid, some stand in his way, all feed an ever-growing question.

- XcutionerXRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Amazing and wholly satisfying read from start to finish. Great characters with hidden pasts. I am a sucker for a great weak to strong story where we unravel the main character's past along side the characters themselves. Well written, well paced and I didn't notice anything that flowed wrong to my untrained eye. First review I'm leaving in a long time.
- RatheRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The journey thus far has been rather enjoyable. Out the gate, I've liked following along with our brutal protagonist as he explores his newfound abilities whilst taking a bite out of his enemies. The power is unique for this type of thing, so watching as it grows into something even more monstrous will surely satiate my hunger for more of this gruesome story. Great stuff.
- Snuggly WuggumsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Overall am thoroughly enjoying what's come out so far. It's always great to see a character get some Dark Souls style murder-catharsis.
As is made evident in the first few lines, the MC's main power is eating people, So go into it with that tonal expectation. It's gory, it's brutal, but it doesn't overstay it's welcome on either. The violence is brutal and punchy, but also moved along from at a good pace.
Some minor formatting issues, but not enough for me to deduct points as I know the author is fixing them as I write this.
Very enjoyable - TitanicMan28Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0An engaging and entertaining read. I loved the MC's development and how he discovers more of himself, whilst also fighting for what he believes is right despite the suffering he's gone through. Now, that he has the power to change his fate, he wont stop there and will fight to change the fate of his planet.

Is a good book , if u can u should read
But at the same time is not a book that i can say that will stick with me , that i will check and dream of it again and again , is flawed , and lacks to much to say that it will be forever remembered
The character are a strange mix of flawed and single faced , i dont wish to prolong this to much but it feels rushed it feels hollow but only if u read expecting more , the character do grow but only after there journey ends , is a good but u should read , but as some one who is fascinated with people, with mistakes , tears and anger i wouldn't say this book is for me i wanted to finish him not because i loved it but because i needed to understand what made me not enjoy it so when the time comes that i finally write my own book i may not make the same mistakes , and make something that i will enjoy , as i said a masterpiece but flawed like many others . - The OxRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This one is a bit of a fast-paced hyper-violent demi-human vs everyone and everything.
The MC Redmane is a non-human magical character/creature of some kind that was kept in a cell for his ability to eat anything. He was something like a living garbage disposal.
After that life of low purpose, he was accidentally fed something that caused a massive change to himself and apparently to the world around him.
The world at large is not much described so far, but it seems to be some sort of magical medieval fantasy world that was somehow in the midst of some kind of System Integration. Most of our info is from Redmane who doesn't hardly know anything due to being chained in a cell, and who talks to the monster garbage disposal?
Story is extremely well written, and the action scenes are vividly bloody. Characterizations are almost non-existent. Redmane is mostly focused on running around killing and eating his enemies, and everyone else were either his former oppressors or they are dead. Not much character building or even dialog yet.
This is an action-oriented story, with lots and lots of gory violence. Redmane EATS everyone he kills, it's not a singing and sniffing the flowers sort of story. - Idi01Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Of course the MC keeps getting stronger and stronger and more and more skills. The story telling is good and the plot is excellent. But what I appreciated the most was that the story had an ending. There could be a further story or other arcs, but the author came to a nice conclusion.
Too many stories just drag on, and I actually skip entire paragraphs or chapters because it is obvious the writer is turning in filler material. But this story had a nice pace and no chapter seemed to be filler for me.

Redmane is a bestial but not savage main character, and his quick thinking and responsive decisions for his status make for a nice shift from the typical overthinking protagonist. His abilities seem to be pit to good use, but I am a little worried he will scale too quickly with his current abilityset.
The setting takes after Elden Ring in a way, which is nice. The dark fantasy asthetic and creative use of setting to build into the story is really good, and something I think a lot of stories lack.
The pacing is good so far and I think the release of information is well designed. However, I do worry that his backstory is already unraveling only a few chapters in, and I think it might be laying story attributes on a little thick.
Overall though, pretty good. I think this has a lot of potential. - BerateRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The Good:
The skeleton of the story, the worldbuilding and lore behind what is happening, is intriguing and well-written, drip-fed to the reader and slowly revealed as the story progresses. The prose is clear and competent. The spelling and grammar are good, if not flawless. The characterization of side characters is generally good and consistent, if somewhat shallow.
The Bad:
The progression of power and challenge is simultaneously far too convenient and nonsensically inconsistent. Enemies are nearly always just a few levels above the main character, to make his victories result in steady growth and seem impressive. This consistency could be explained and made more believable by careful planning, but instead it just happens without any real forethought from the protagonist.
Redmane, the main character, is consistently scraping by victories by the skin of his teeth, regardless of whether his power - as described - should be overwhelming with all of his significant advantages. He consistently fails to use those many, many advantages properly, in order to artificially inflate the difficulty of his fights.
In many instances, his absolutely moronic decision-making and lack of critical thinking should leave him dead, but miraculously does not.
The characterization of Redmane is fairly consistent, and often good, but it isn't always a good thing. For instance, he is consistently dumb as bricks until the author decides that he needs a sudden surge of brilliance to survive something.
Finally, I have some qualms with how the System works in general. The System works somewhat differently for Redmane than everyone else, and as the primary point of view character, he seems utterly incurious about learning more about this, despite how tactically important it might be to know.
It's very fuzzy how Corpus, this System's equivalent of hit points, actually works, and the same can be said for Qualities (stats). It should likely be assumed that the amount of Corpus a being has availabl - FartSmellerRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I enjoy this novel, i read a lot of litRPGs and although the novel isn't crazily original, it does very well because of the talented author. I enjoy the character progression, the power system and the forward moving plot very much.
Although the novel is relatively new and the world building isn't 100% there, this novel definitely deserves 4 stars in my opinion.
