- AdrakRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I really liked this story so far.
I think the greatest point so far is the MC class, and the fact that it allows for auto harvesting of XP, resources, who knows... all that attached to a kingdom building system.
Another really interesting fact is that the MC is not that "always 1st" cliche, which adds to the realistic side of the narrative.
Overrall it's a great read so far, and motivated me to finally create an account to make a review, after 10 months reading in royal road.
What seems that we are going to see:
-Weak to strong
-Auto XP farm
-Non-cliche class
-Kingdom building
-System Lit RPG
...
God I still didn't reach the min 200 words long for the review.
Let me describe the start of the novel then:
The MC gets teleported to a new world, where humans and also other species will be competing to level up and form kingdoms.
At first the MC is within a group with diverse people of different classes.
He has to first choose a trait, to hen choose his class, in the end the option of class is based on the trait, taking him to choosing a tech related class based on the potential.
Soon we see that his class has a lot of possible automation involved and he, despiste being a regular guy, start leveling up quicky because his drones basically do the hard work for him. - BrockMRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is definitely worth a late night of reading, while the main focus is mechanized Lit RPG, there is not too much super nerd stuff, which is nice. The writing also remains fresh throughout the story. Jordan is both relatable and someone that you want to root for which make him an A tier MC for a good book. Anyways give it a read it is definitely worth your time, hope the author keeps writing it! :)
- BurningLavaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Definitely a good read. Would recommend to others who want to see more tech high fantasy. The only problem I have with it is that there are not enough chapters. (Which is a good thing. Means that I enjoy it alot and try to stay caught up). I also enjoy the interesting concepts that this story has.
- asher7Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Great read it was one of those 1 in a thousand fantasy novels that are so well written that it’s near impossible to put the book down i can’t stress this enough this is a jam of a book that reignites your passion for fantasy adventures try reading the first three chapters and putting the book down you can’t because it’s that good
- Rainydays33Royal Road★★★★ 4.0So im just gonna tell whats happened in the story so far and what ive liked and disliked. So basically humanity and a bunch of other races got transported into another world / universe. Everyone gets to pick a trait and then gets to unlock a class related to the trait next to generic classes. Mc gets combat engineer and basically gets to summon a drone with a gun and empower tech for a short time. mc,s group he arrived into the universe gets wiped out and mc survives through sheer luck and use of his drone as a partial but partly failing distraction (what ive really liked at this point is he immediately gets a drone skill and starts figuring out basic uses of it) (what i dislike is how long the time is spent introducing a bunch of little things at the beginning and how flat the mc feels) mc survives and unlocks more skills (but man leveling is hard) i do dislike the skill requirements for the drone cause the upkeep cost is more than the summon cost but in later chapters this problem gets less cause he figures out he can get to upgrade his skill (this isnt a feature exclusive to him in fact i,d say he doesnt make enough use of it) anyways he gets to summon a land drone upgrades it (his first skill upgrade) and now he has a smaller tank to ride on top of. He then gets a kingdom and gets a building with a benefit exclusive to him in the form of a machine (so ive loved the skill upgrades and future potential his drones hold) (i dont like how everything feels restricted right away cause now he has a "kingdom" kingdom in quotes cause its just mc with a building and a special machine to help him change things into other things. Then mc gets tricked into going to a crab and almost dying and actually dying once (i wont spoil it but ngl to me it just felt like lazy writing i think author did it to make the story seem more realistic but really i think it was wasted) (Mc personality has gotten magor improvements though) Also im very scared for future kingdom confrontations betw
- trucha17Royal Road★★★★ 3.5I have read the first book and it’s quite good to pass the time or for any beginner into the genre. I like that there is some touch of mental difficulties but its not too debilitating either.
There’s nothing special or unique but the writing is fine without any big flaw.
But that’s pretty much it. That’s exactly what I would call a generic series. You can tick the box on pretty much all the cliché but it’s not done with bad taste or poor writing.
There’s some irregular choices like introducing the kingdom system on the first day but I guess it was made to give him the tools necessary to leverage his class and become OP pretty quickly.
There is 2 i like less about the story: First, it was when he chose his class. The excuse and chain of thought being wanting to be able to use his phone was pretty badly done.
The second thing that I’m not fond of is the pacing. 80 chapters published and we’re not even a week into the story.
Author often describe useless stuff for a bit too long. I honestly think that those 80 chapters could have been slashed to about 15-20 good chapters of good content.
Specially for something that should last a year and be a tutorial/trial type of period.
If the novel ends at the end of the merger that could be fine, but if it’s just the beginning of his journey to godhood, I doubt we’ll ever see the end of it specially since it took almost a year to write it. - waitingforperryRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5This is an interesting story and has some nice premises I would like to see explored. I’m curious where it will go but I can’t take the 5-6 paragraphs where one sentence will do. I also don’t want a chapter release that feels like filler and only exposition.
May revisit in the future if it gets edited down a bit. - The OxRoyal Road★★★ 3.0This story will appeal to you if you like reading LitRPG with lots of numbers that go up. If you like emotionless, self-absorbed characters who internally analyze "the System" and the game mechanics of their gamified worlds and figure out clever exploits to "become the strongest", you will prolly like this story
If characters who will spend two sentences worrying about their elderly parents and how they are doing in the Apocalypse, and then an entire CHAPTER getting all grainy with their own stats and build don't bother you, you might like this story. I personally just skipped over that entire chapter when it was clear it was all about stat analysis. Reminded me of 'Delve', if you liked 'Delve' this is probably up your alley somewhat, or 'The Systemic Lands'.
The MC is one of those characters who will pay lip service to having real emotions and then do something like...
"Mercy-kill" a fellow human being who was bleeding out to harvest her EXP. Since the MC didn't know first aide, she might as well make herself useful and give him some points AMIRITE? Seriously, that was a fucked up little passage.
I guess I'm not a fan of the 'System Apocalypse' genre in general, but especially not ones with a psycho MC who decides that a brutal points-based new paradigm is actually a paradise they were born for. If you like that kind of thing, then check out this story. - Lion_HeartRoyal Road★★★ 3.0A Great read, especially for a tech-fantasy - I had a great time reading it, but with the story pacing combined with the relatively rare updates, it will potentially not reach an end - with story pacing and release frequency as is, it would take years-decades for the tutorial to finish.
That‘s for the first two Books.
After reading last (third) Book:
I did not like the killing of, of the side stories (Spoiler: by killing these Characters) and the Ending is also not just kind of abrupt but also unsatisfying. For example the second last chapter ends with kind of a Cliffhanger and a bunch of unread System Notifications of wich nether get a response in the last chapter, wich mainly just says: he won but is to sad to care.
I would recommend only reading the first two books, imagine your own ending afterwards and ignore the third. - Crow mouthRoyal Road★★★ 2.5I liked the them of the story but not the execution. Too much explaining. And you're hero is kinda slow in his thinking, and I feel like the power of the mc a bit much like too op but doesn't know to think straight. Overall it's the explaining and proportions of the power of mc is bit much lastly some choices mc do make me feel dumb . Sorry . But good concept of a story and great world build up , loves the mc powers all I wish for is a little coordination with story and the progression............................
