Description
In the Sarkcente Kingdom, in the south of the continent, the life of the King is nearing its end. The Royal Capital and the entire country slowly grow unstable.
The many Royal Children are amassing power and allies, and shall soon engage in a life-or-death struggle for the crown.
The four Great Families and the three Great Martial Schools will be forced to abandon their long-standing neutrality and choose their own sides.
During the calm before the storm, the leader of one of the four Great Families decides to take in two common children and to the shock of everyone, officially adopts them and treats them with great favor.
However, Tei’ru dies before long, leaving the two kids ostracized and alone within the family.
As the major events in the Sarkcente Kingdom and on the entire continent start to unfold, the ten years old boy, Laien, is about to begin his epic adventure.

- tenaciouspfcRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Worth it. Hands down one of the best on RR imo. Nothing else to say.
- NanukaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Loved it, picked it up and binged read the whole thing so far in one sitting, amazing story, nuff said.
- ThiodexalRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It is genuinely upsetting to me how underrated this story is.
At the time of writing this review, it is on the 13th page of Active only and the 8th page of "Popular this week"
The story is coherent and flows well, without any glaring plot holes.
It also manages to avoid the wuxia trope of constant arrogance and endless revenge chains.
Something about it just feels nice.
The characters are realistic and multifaceted. They act consistent and develop as the story progresses, no generic Mary Sues here.
As far as spelling and grammar go, there are no glaring issues. In fact, it's hard to find many errors at all
Overall this is easily my favorite story on RRL, and I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. - UnASoulDRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Characters more real than your next door neighbor and fight scenes with more impact than action movies.
This is a novel that handles pacing in the best possible manner, tension and plot progression as well as written in a fluid manner.
Can't ask for more from a novel and I'm honestly disappointed that people rated this novel low because of the yaoi (because if you look at the other categories rated they are all above 4.5 stars).
But at the end I'm not you. Give it a try, first couple chapters and see if it's for you.
I don't doubt that you will fall in love with the characters, the story and their misadventures. It's that good.
And it is at this point I'm wondering how many 200 words for an advanced review are...
Since I'm just rambling let's talk about the category I avoided but still rated 5 stars. The Grammer.
Grammar-wise the novel was better than average but not anything spectacular... At first.
Then came a dozen few people to help and I would honestly be impressed if you managed to find a mistake.
All in all a great story to recommend for those that don't mind about the yaoi. - XiaomaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'll admit it, im a bit biased coz its gay af but just reading the plot and MC's development. You should admit that it really is good.
- InslayerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Hmm not much to say...
If I had to give your a rating, I would place this novel amongst the top 3 of RRL.
More people need to read this, and it should get the popularity it deserves...
Now for a proper review :
Style : I can't see any reason not to put 5 stars, as I like the way it's written, and I think most will too ( Though dont take my word for granted, as people have different opinions for the same stuff, some good for good, some bad for good and so on. Even though I say this, I highly doubt anyone would rate this below 4 stars )
Grammar : I aint a person that cares that much for perfect grammar, though I do understand that some specially unreadable cases are an exception. From what you see grammar is again 5 stars, and it really shouldn't be, but with how many grammatical mistakes we've already fixed, now it is.
Character and story : both 5 stars again. Someone might think I am a bit biased towards this novel and so on... yeah... I like this novel a lot, but this doesn't mean that it is the same for everyone. In my head both are worth 5 stars, but someone else could rate it 4 stars, and still be pretty accurate.
I should write a review more based on facts and not feelings, but I guess seeing is believing. Read some of the chapters yourselves, and see what I am talking about - CastroRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Honestly it is a very well written novel, one of the best I have read but I feel like a lot of the sexuality parts are shoved in your face (which you might enjoy I simply didn't). Even then, that wasn't what made me want to stop reading, but just that they are very young and sexualizing these kids just made a bad image in my mind. There are many upsides to this book, the pacing is nice, the cultivation system is top notch, and the mc is not too overpowered. It is truly a great novel it's just that one of the main pieces repulsed me in a way that I can't control. I still highly recommend that you read and try out the novel but I just can't.
- Talen DrakeRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The pacing and story content is pretty darn great. The author is clearly telling a story rather than a series of wishfullfillment events. The MC is seriously OP, and everything that comes along with that, but he is in a xianxia Minor World, and is still threatened, so the jury is still out.
The bad part of this is that the English is still really bad at book 3. I speak several languages, and I read a lot, so I can piece together what is meant most of the time, but the random words that sound kinda like another word that would make the sentence work is hard to ignore.
That said, with a native, English spea king, editor this would be a publishable series. That is pretty rare here, so I am sticking around to watch this develope. - CristianBoyRoyal Road★★★ 2.5Nothing special about this one. Its like usual xinaxia but with a lot of gay people in it. Good for passing time but if u expect anything to happen ,well... author said book 3 was planned to be around 100/150 chapters, currently at 220+ and getting updated once 4 months or so.
Style. Its ok,didn't notice anything weird.
Story. Book 1 and 2 were ok,then everything went to shit since book 3 the traveling to the academy arc. Really i read like 20 chapters of book 3 and got bored so i wanted to see if they arrive there in 200 chapters, don't think so. Somehow Mc makes everyone important person like him through his *grin* and him not caring about polite speech.
Grammar:so far i've noticed a very small number of mistakes, and those were stuff like he(r),he(she),etc
Character. Every boy in this book is gay. Every single one. And why didnt i get warned the Mc is in a gay relationship most of the story? Adults who are hundreds of years old act like fucking virgins around Mc and idk why.
There's this old guy who is MC's master who spent 100 years drinking cuz his crush died, funny thing is that his crush was already married to another guy. - midnyt21Royal Road★★★ 2.5good story . but the namings are shit as fuck. cant you think more of a suitable names? its like your naming them from trashes or something. it would done a great job using more recognizeable names thats easy to digest and more to like .
