Description
In the desolate aftermath of a nuclear explosion, a wasteland mercenary is reborn into another world, his veins coursing with the blood of giants. Once more, he treads the path of a hired gun—but this time, he is not alone. By his side is a gentle and nimble cat-girl scout, agile and cunning, his most reliable ally. A tender and innocent mushroom girl watches over him in silence, enveloping him in a quiet, protective embrace. A proud and romantic swan-maiden swordsmaiden brandishes her blade and shield, deflecting every hidden dagger that dares to strike.
His life is not devoid of warmth and romance. The passionate proprietress of the mercenary tavern prepares him a meticulously crafted breakfast each morning. A seductive and talented female mentor shares candlelit dinners and intimate conversations with him. The iron-willed yet tender Empress of the Steel-Blooded Empire offers him unwavering support. And the fearless Queen of the Pirates, forever wandering the high seas, hoists her sails for him, bravely facing the endless tides.
Yet, when these enchanting women come together, their rivalry ignites like flames on a battlefield. The legendary mercenary soon realizes he is embroiled in a conflict more perilous than any war he has faced before. As tensions escalate and passions clash, he can only sigh in resignation, pondering how to quell this war without gunpowder.

- QuisCustodietRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The prose is excellent. The cadence keeps the story moving at a comfortable pace. The author is a wordsmith, painting word pictures that evoke powerful images.
I don't know if the plot has been solidified yet but without those chillling words "it has promise" I am enjoying it.
So bite me, it's not 50 words. - qxaxRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5So, first to disclaim, I do like this novel as a nice one to catch up, there are a few things to address first.
The protagonist: a (kind of) good guy with a troubled past, his mind is a bit puzzling at times as he seems to view everything as an exploit or something to conquer - sometimes it is cool and sometimes it is annoying but overall, it's okay. Not much character development so far
"progression": comparatively to other novels, this feels a bit forced. Yes, he is always in the middle of something but tbh it feels like just plot points or "adventures" lined up, so it kinda feels like he just goes from one thing to the next. I get that he is always strong for his level but he it feels like the progression is just things in his path, not a real challenge
My main reason for the 4* is the fact that this novel SERIOUSLY LACKS A HAREM TITLE. Which feels like is the true progression most of the time. Sees a girl? Flirts – okay sure. Teases her? OK sure. At this point though it feels like every girl that is 40 or below is basically his planned harem. Not to get to the spoilery territory but beware that this is the true nature of the writing.
I would not say I hate this aspect but it came at me a bit out of the sudden
when literally the furry girl he sees as his child/little sister starts being treated as the next love interest in his harem. I get that he his "technically" 16 but god damn was it a turn off when it got turned into a dating sim halfway through
I do like many parts of the novel and would still recommend it to many people I know but just remember, if harem is not for you then do not have high hopes.
Just to note the last points people tend to talk about – writing seemed good to me, no weird POV shifts out of nowhere, no odd shifts from 1st to 3rd person and so on so I found no issues on this front. - Ora TuaRoyal Road★★★ 3.0The story of an OP carefree mercenary living his best life, is a nice light hearted story, though the unnecessary harem subplot does detract from it a little bit.
The author also seems scared of paragraphs, rarely putting more than two sentences together. Which can make some conversations hard to tell who is speaking. - Philipp HellmannRoyal Road★★ 2.0I really liked it in the beginning but to me it slowly got worse and worse. First of all definitely missing a Harem Tag.
While first I liked the balance between real story and Harem it got really onesided. The last chapters only revolving around the Harem which gets a bit annoying. Especially as I don't feel like those parts are well written. Barely any Progression in any other parts of the story.
