Legacy: Another World

Description
Some people immerse themselves in TV shows. Some in video games. Others in the lives of those worshipped by the masses, but Shun immersed himself in books.
Isekai.
That was the genre that captivated him, but what should have been the start of something new was simply the end of the beginning.
Author's Note:Rui here! This story is not an isekai that starts fast, but it does pick up the pace after the escape arc! There is traumatising content in this novel, so if that makes you feel uncomfortable, it may be better to skip the entire 1st Arc!

The beginning suffers from the same issues as the author's first work: The Testing Ground (I was a guest reader). There's a repetitive structure that can be noticed, but! The author consolidates their style the more you read. I have a suspicion that most of these chapters were edited and not rewritten because the difference becomes even more clear as you read on.
That being said, I loved the poetic chapters of TTG (Brunaulf/Beatrix), and I believe it's the author's strongest point. I hope they bring that aspect back again.
As for AW, the latter chapters of the 1st Arc were really engaging. Especially learning about Chloe's warped mindset.
Story (4/5)
Interesting. Without saying too much, the victim is usually blackmailed into doing certain actions. However, this time, the victim doesn't do that either (Vague, I know). Role reversal is intriguing, but I'm most interested in the new expansion pack of Ayadell that we'll explore through Shun's eyes.
Psychological warfare and analysis seems to be a huge part of this story.
Grammar (3.5/5)
Honesty is the best policy. The grammar is... Decent. The more you read, the better it becomes.
Characters (5/5)
Love them. Only a few have been given some depth, but the unique differences between them is clear. The two most interesting for me are Chloe and Shun: the dynamic and realistic depreciation of someone's mindset is sad to read.
There's also a very surprising cameo from my favourite TTG character.
