This is not a typical isekai/transmigration story where the main character dies in the mortal world, either being hit by a truck, from a work exhaustion or a common disease and then he reincarnates in a different world where magic rules.

The main character is a mage from a mortal world. He desires to be a master of his fate and a captain of his destiny but he is still played by fate in the end. He has a certain advantage over others though.
