Description
A new spin on the classic tale of old St. Nick, where our hero is older than even the most generous of estimates, but he doesn't care about Christmas spirit or even if you've been bad or good. His only goal is to pay off a curse with his good deeds unnoticed. That is, until Alex manages to move, even through his time bending magic, and St. Nick decides to tell his story, one of tragedy, and pain. Buckle up, because a brutal tale lays beyond.

- IcarussRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0It is a fun spin on Santa. The start of the story was a bit hard to follow in my opinion, but it improves with every chapter.
There is still room for improvement, the early chapters especially are in need for some editing, but the story overall is fun and surprisngly brutal.
I quite enjoyed how good ol' saint Nick debunks the rumors and myths surrounding him. The bit with the elves got a laugh out of me.
Overall I enjoyed the read. - KillerKittyKatIVRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5First off, I want to make it clear that this was a super fun read. I really like the idea of something designed for busy people, though I don't know if I would like reading just one chapter a day considering how short each chapter is.
Overall, it was a dense story. It's not super long but so much happens in that time and it's a wild ride. I think it could have done with a bit more length, I feel like there was a lot left of the world that we never really saw and this author's other works usually have a magic system that's a lot more in depth than this. It all just felt kind of rushed, and I get that he was trying to keep it short, but that was kind of a detriment for this. Another point, this didn't feel like Christmas at all. It was a super fun fantasy story, but there was never more than an allusion to the jolly man in red here or there, even though it's a sort of explanation to everything Santa related, it just didn't seem like the focus was where I expected it to be.
The style is really cool, I like most of the decisions he made with the style but I think he went a little bit overboard with the icons and it just made those sections kind of hard to read, but overall I liked how this was written, jumping back and forth between modern day and the past every chapter was really cool.
There are a lot of grammar errors, and it didn't impact the story much, but it did make some parts a bit harder to read.
The characters are awesome, complex, and well explained even in so short a time. You could see motivations, actions, and everything in between which was really cool to see.
I would have liked more world building. There was a lot that just wasn't explained and that would have been fun to see.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend if you've got a minute of free time
