Description

Rebirth into a world unlike any other seems to be a running fad—except when you're reborn into the body of a monster, that is. Originally an upstanding guy in his prior life, Baik never expected to enter any sort of world as a kobold. Less so did he expect to be special, standing above and stronger than the average kobold. As his tribe generation's "Kobold Prince", the readers follow Baik on his journey into Daesal as one of the world's most hated creatures. The entire world lies ready, prime for a conqueror... prime for a newKobold King.

KOBOLD is arelease-when-ready work, which will prioritize dropping one or two chapter(s) at a time.

KOBOLD(or go home) is the story about a nice guy put in the shoes of a villainous creature -- it draws inspiration from Re:Monster, Overlord and similar Isekai thematically while orienting on a mix of deadly-fast combat between long-standing arcs. Things aren't nice in Daesal and the people aren't either; Baik will encounter and experience this firsthand alongside the readers throughout his entire life. It's a story about a good person who has no choice but to be the bad guy, struggling with balancing what people expect with what would have been the "right thing" to do in our world. Survival will be hard, for him and any who follow him.

A story with potential, it does suffer from some pacing issues and the grammar switches between past to present tenses in places. It has an interesting take on the kobold race and a setting perfectly ready for action and kingdom building. It's laid the groundwork for what may become a personal favorite.

I binged the first 18 chapters in an hour or so and was left fairly satisfied.
I agree with a previous review saying that there's no drive for Baik's actions and that the characters don't mesh well with their respective scenarios.
Other than this, the quick pacing isn't a problem for me! Makes me believe that it'll be a short story rather than a 100+ chapter story!
Good Stuff! Hope my review is useful!
