Meet Kirby.

Five years after moving to Oklahoma City to put some distance between himself and an unexpected divorce from the love of his life, Kirby finds his optimism circling the drain.  Nothing in his experience could have prepared him for the terrifying, uncanny creature he encountered one dark night in June.

Meet Adelaide.

Forty years as the ruthless leader of a hidden guild of sorceresses have not quite prepared her for Kirby.  Finding herself in debt to him—a debt she cannot likely repay—is a complication she had not anticipated.

Meet Amy.

Former troubled youth, now a successful doctor, Amy is a sorceress’s apprentice and has the task of helping Kirby adjust to the arcane reality he must now confront.  But first, she'll need to keep them both alive.

This trio of decidedly different individuals will need to survive monsters, arcane assassins, and the opening salvos of a war among sorcerers that could tear the world asunder—just to make it to the Fourth of July.
