Description
Acompletely law abiding citizenwakes up in a cave with no idea how she got there besides the memory of an unfortunate meeting with a truck. Oh, also she has been turned into a crystal. That's just great. But where is she? How did she get here? And what is this screen that's calling her a[DUNGEON]?
My first story! Criticism is appreciated as i'm still not that good at writing. Going to try to get a 1000 word chapter out every other night, but might miss one occasionally.

- WitchhatRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So far, it's a story about a pyromaniac, yet lovable dungeon core trying her best to herd a mob of dungeon monsters with much less emapthy than her to do more good than bad.
It's still in the beginning, and I'm excited to see which way this wildfire will go. - aggroniastRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Story has potential. I like the characters introduced so far, the ability of the core to do something not core like is somewhat unique for a hole in the ground type core.
More words more words more words more words more words more words more words more words more words - AmphitriteRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Kindling Greatness is a fresh and fun entry into the dungeon-core genre, blending humor, mystery, and the charm of an unconventional protagonist. The story kicks off with a familiar yet enjoyable twist—our "completely law-abiding" protagonist wakes up as a sentient crystal dungeon after an unfortunate truck-related incident (a nod to classic isekai tropes). What follows is a journey of discovery as she grapples with her new identity, the mechanics of dungeon life, and a mysterious new world.
The light-hearted tone and conversational style make this a breezy and entertaining read. The protagonist's confusion and dry humor as she navigates the absurdity of becoming a dungeon create plenty of moments for readers to chuckle and connect with her struggle. The litRPG elements, such as system screens and dungeon management mechanics, are introduced smoothly and provide a solid foundation for growth and progression.
For a first-time writer, Itsaparty shows promise. The pacing is snappy, and while the writing may lack polish in places, the enthusiasm and creativity more than make up for it. With 1000-word chapters updated frequently, it’s easy for readers to follow along without a huge time commitment.
If you enjoy dungeon-core stories, light comedy, and watching a character literally "build themselves up" from scratch, Kindling Greatness is a charming start. Constructive criticism is welcomed, and seeing the author’s growth alongside the story is part of the fun. Give this one a shot—it’s a promising spark that could grow into something great! - JD_TontsRoyal Road★★ 2.0For a story with 47 posted chapters, I struggle to find much to say about them. Given the story is 3 months old currently, I wish I had more to say. But the short length of the chapters, means the story progresses very slowly. We've had insight chapters focused on other characters, but it feels quite shallow for character development.
The core is based on a pyromaniac woman from our world, reincarnated/isekai'd into this new Fantasy realm. The Core has to create all of her own monsters with some system assistance. Said Monsters do not respawn and have to be recreated, this also goes for the more intelligent 'Scions' it seems. The core has performed multiple feats the residents of the world consider unusual or terrifying to some degree. The core and her monsters can gain new skills and powers through practice, and can be power-levelled by the core infusing mana.
The core has already survived an attempted shattering by a higher level delver and their honestly doesn't feel like there's a clear direction for the story beyond some hints of gods meddling with each other through her Dungeon and the dungeon just wanting to establish regular delves. These kinds of short-chapter stories are not ones I can really enoy reading, simply due to lack of content, I am dropping the story here.
