While the story is great overall, some parts move a bit too quickly, and a few side characters could be developed more. Even so, these small issues don’t take away from how enjoyable the book is.
This is a great first book from a new writer, offering something fresh for fans of martial arts and cultivation stories. If you enjoy tales of growth, adventure, and mastering Qi, you’ll love this one. I’m excited to see what happens next in Riu Xian’s journey!
