Description

Magic is a fickle thing, hard to grasp and even harder to truly master. Mana flows through everything in the world, every rock, plant, and human. They all breath, grow and influence their surroundings in their own right.Join Teo, a bright young boy with a gift for Arcane Magic, through his journey to tackle the Elements, master his Craft and climb to the very peak of magic itself.Who will he meet, friends or foes? Trusted companions or bitter rivals? Will he be able to find his answer and get to the real meaning of magic, all while wrestling with the complex laws of nature and his own unripe emotions? There is only one way to find out.The story will start with a few chapters of introductions in volume 1 to establish the characteristics and the nature of the world the characters live in. After that, it will probably become a lot more fast-paced and incorporate real story progression. My goal is to fuse the common magic advancement system in a weak-to-strong fashion, together with elements of naturalism, magic combat action and little bits and pieces of science, wherever necessary, to form a bright and interesting story about a boy chasing his dreams about magic.

Found this on a just updated browse.
Its not bad, but I can't say its great either, Its a fantasy-magic-academy-enchanter/crafter MC story; elements I enjoy, so gave it a go.
The strongest point of the story is its world and magic system, they are clearly well thought out and planned, couple that with good grammar and you have an above average novel for this site. But its not without its faults.
I just realised I was roasting what I didn't like too extensively for it to be constructive criticism in a review; so here is a softened TLDR.
The first 20 chaps feel like a heavily extended prologue, they could be cut down by half in a good edit run by focusing on the important bits and rephrasing some statements and removing obvious after explanations.
As a child with no formed personality the MC feels shallow and hard to care for, as he's basically a wonder child with no real goals, faults or antagonizing factors pressing him to advance or make us feel for him. There's a reason most novels like this start with underdog MCs.
His life is too perfect to put it simply, his charcater (actually all character so far) doesn't get developed enough to be likeable, and the things he does are not interesting enough by themselves to compensate for the MC trudging through imfodump after imfodump about magic.
Thats about it. The novel does feel like its finnally gaining some traction now that the MC is actually doing something interesting with the boons he got.
I'm dropping a follow, I feel the story will be more enjoyable now that the introduction is over and the MC is in a position to actually do something.
