Description
IsekAI: Noobkitty In a dying MMO world on the brink of server shutdown, one gray-furred catgirl crafter is not here to save the day with swords or spells, she didn't expect to save it at all- she's here to bake cookies, enchant shoes, and have fun. Noobkitty, a cheerful vegan artisan with a plan for overpowered enchantments and ethical pastries, has no combat class, no interest in killing anything, and no clue just how important this world will be to her. With the help of a partially corrupted NPC named .ex, a devout cleric with identity issues called SisterQuery, a flamboyant food reviewer named Fizzypop, and a grief-stricken former raid tank called Grimmblade, Noobkitty sets out to revive the heart of a world that was left to die. Along the way, she’ll battle existential despair with cinnamon rolls, confuse a dragon with chocolate coins, and hold off the apocalypse with jalapeño cookies and moral conviction. Whimsical, heartfelt, and streaming with chaos, IsekAI: Noobkitty is a gamelit tale of crafting, connection, and the tiny beautiful ways we save each other- one enchanted tart at a time. *ocassionally the word f*** is used*

- AzureInkRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Sometimes it's nice to just to read something different, and so far Noobkitty is delivering. The story isn't quite like anything else I've read on RR, which makes it a refreshing change of pace. Noobkitty is well-written, with good editing and few grammatical mistakes to distract you from the charm.
Is the MC preparing to exploit the system to become incredibly OP? Yes. Normally I'm not a fan of this type of story, even though it dominates the charts on RR. In this case, it works for me, because the MC exists in a VR game so buggy and poorly-run by its AI that players have largely given up on it.
This premise results in an enjoyable, relaxing reader experience. The author is doing a good job of walking a fine line between keeping it lighthearted while also giving you reasons to cheer for the MCs success. Well done!
The only reason I've deducted half a star for style is that I'd prefer to have the commentary from the MC's 'sisters' to be presented in another way than using the post-chapter author's notes. I find this somewhat breaks the immersion of reading since sometimes these notes contain messages that are part of the story while other times they are regular author's notes, or even a mix of the two. Other than that, no complaints! - Curnow8Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0It starts with a fantastic premise, what would multiple digital versions of yourself do if free to explore virtual worlds? The slice of life style is enjoyable and the characters are interesting enough to keep me coming back for more. Looking forward to seeing them become more fleshed out and learning more about them.
The story being set in a failing game world adds lots to explore and hopefully we get to see more of the AI and how its processes can be exploited. Maybe it doesn't want to be deleted as well? It's lazy and bland attitude comes across well so far but hopefully it becomes more invested in Noobkitty's story. Right now the story is set in the starting town (this is still at the start of the series) and I'm looking forward to exploring other regions of the world. We are getting some hints, but it would be good to have Noobkitty actively finding ways to push her limits with her self imposed restrictions.
The food focus is a fun way to steer the game world away from being combat focused and I'm interested in seeing how far it can be taken.
Would recommend for anyone who enjoys warm slice of life stories with a very interesting "fantasy" world to explore. - ZebraUnicornRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I like this story a lot. I've been in a really bad headspace recently and somehow this story really invigorated me.
It is warm, it is wholesome and it's just overall a feel feel good read. But beneath that veneer of fuzzy kitty fuff are also some interesting commentaries on identity and self.
If I were to be objective with my review, the story definitely isn't perfect. Some of the character interactions can feel a little stilted and while the ideas being thrown around are interesting, none of them really get explored in any meaningful way.
In my mind, it is perfectly fine the way it is. So I will rate it as such. I am in no mood for extended character drama at the moment. The story is light but not vapid. With enough complexity to add depth to the world without needless exposition.
Just a virtual kitty and her motley party of misfits munching on abominable vegan snackies and slaying dragons.
Also, I deperately want to have a taste of those jalapeno cookies. Wecipwe pwease! - chuzpahRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I like the vibe of this fiction. It's playful and fun right from the opening lines. The title of the first chapter: Smoothie Download had intrigued me, and after the first page, I was hooked and felt compelled to continue reading. The notes that Noobkity leaves her herself are funny and were unexpected for the Gamelit I usually read, which tend to be dungeon crawlers, so this fiction was a breath of fresh air. The names of the characters are funny and contribute to the fun of the story.
I especially enjoyed the descriptions of the weapons, like the "Big Hammer." The author tries to bake in fun whenever possible. The food references made me laugh out loud. And there's a bit of snark in the chapters that made me smile. There's some language, but it's not excessive and adds character to the prose. The story moves at a brisk pace, and sometimes it would be nice for Noobkity to stop and smell the roses along the way. The quests are fun, but are short. The messages from characters like CheshyBot and Gobmouse at the end of some of the chapters are fun and add to Noobkity's story arc. The in-story game stats are good and add flavor to the story, but are not plentiful at first; however, as the story progresses, they are represented more. Overall, this is a fun story that I'll be looking forward to reading more of. - watlixRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Binged to chapter 20 in 1h30 minutes. It felt incredibly!
rare are the story with heart in them. Edge lord are dime a dozen on RR. So read the feel good and make your day better.
filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler lower diiehfbsnw for rid je à the fj the dh - FerreteerRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Four-and-a-half stars because I keep going back and forth between loving it and only liking it. Fun, with sudden depths. Good characters. The occasional jarring typo. (To be fair, I was reading the whole thing in one sitting and wasn't willing to stop reading long enough to report the typos.)
- Han YogaRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5“Can I see your melons?” she asked the bunny merchant, with zero awareness of the double entendre. That single line captures the vibe perfectly. Noobkitty isn’t just a story, it’s the funniest, most delicious glitch in the gaming fiction genre, a secret, broken quest that’s infinitely more rewarding than the intended raid.
Our heroine is a vegan catgirl Crafter whose ultimate weapon is a “Weird Berry Cup” and whose arch-nemesis is a lazy, deadpan AI that insists on naming her culinary masterpieces like they’re expired health potions. After her tenth unceremonious PK, her scream of “Really, AI? You remembered burn damage but forgot logical commerce??” is a relatable gamer mood. The AI itself is a comedy masterpiece, delivering world-ending countdowns (“I will not list the seconds.”) and justifying an apocalyptic dragon with “It’s a Dragon. I didn’t think I needed to provide more reason than that.” Perfection.
The supporting cast is solid gold. Watch as the food blogger Fizzypop reframes a player-killer as a “Frosting Felon”, peak influencer satire. The solution to digital oblivion? Giving a glitching bunny NPC a retail job and a 5% commission. That’s capitalism as cosmic salvation! And Noobkitty’s grand strategy to save the world? Fusing a mountain of ugly starter gear while baking stat-cursed Kidney Bean Brittle. It’s the kind of pacifist-level chaos I live for.
What to expect next?
1. Cookies vs. Dragon, The ultimate bakery-based boss battle.
2. Constant AI Roasts, Its dismissive item descriptions are a gift that keeps on giving.
3. Another AI Weird Move? Just wait until it starts deleting villages during the tutorial... or rebrands her next masterpiece as “Mysterious Berry Blob.”
It’s a hilarious, heartfelt mashup of cozy crafting and digital existential crisis. 9.5/10, would gladly die at the starter town fountain again for one of her suspicious “Offal Vegan Balls.” This story isn’t just a hidden gem, it’s the legendary, soul-bound loot drop you never see comin - KoggsRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Cute, cozy, and engaging! The 'Downloaded consciousness' concept isn't new, having been one of the original concept of the litRPG genre. However having multiple divergent versions of NoobKitty (our enterprising hero), helping each other out definitely got my attention, and keeps you interested with multiple points of view. While the worldbuilding and concepts may not be completely original given the recent abundance of LitRPG and GameLit titles, they are still well executed and thoroughly enjoyable. The characters themselves are unique, their stories well thought out and written, and their personalities vibrant and engaging. Not all start out as friendly, but as a cozy fantasy you can be sure that's not the end of their stories. Characters of note include: a self aware Dwarven barkeep, several different iterations of the MC, a streamer who demands weird food, and (SPOILERS) as well as [REDACTED] and (seriously can't add that to the review). The food, while supposedly "weird" actually sounds very tasty, and as the cooking aspect is a central theme to the story it tends to make me quite hungry, which is the highest compliment I can give to imaginary food. All in all a delightful little cozy story about cooking, friendship and NoobKitty, my new favorite cat girl baker!
- RDozolRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Despite short, the starting chapter does a lot, sets the setting, the premisse and shows us some characters that curiously are all the same identity.
This is like an old recipe for hot chocolate, made in a new and interesting way.
Cute, without being annoying.
Deep, without being presumptuous.
The hook could be stronger, but its definetly enought to make me go read chapter 2.
Excelent job! - ReaveAideRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I just finished reading the first two chapters, and I gotta say—this was a fun start. Noobkitty’s voice is witty and playful, which makes her really easy to follow. I like how she doesn’t just play along with the usual MMO rules, like refusing to kill the rat and finding loopholes in the system. That kind of twist makes the story stand out from other litRPGs. The idea of her having streamer “sister-selves” is also a clever touch and adds a lot of humor.
The humor is really the strong point here. I caught myself laughing at the AI’s blunt answers and the whole sequence with her dying again and again on her way to town. It feels chaotic but in a good way—like watching a stubborn gamer do things their own way.
That said, there are some parts where the explanations of game mechanics run a bit long. The manuals, stats, and crafting details are cool, but sometimes they slow down the energy of the scene. You might want to weave them more into the action so it keeps moving. Also, the repeated deaths were funny, but if it happens too often early on, the gag might lose its punch later.
Overall, this is a really promising start. It has a unique main character, good humor, and a fun twist on the litRPG setup. I’m curious to see how Noobkitty will grow in a world that’s already dying. With a little balancing between the comedy, mechanics, and some deeper emotional beats, this story could really shine.
