Is It Bad to be an Extra In The Academy

I’m not the main character of this world. I’m just a background character—a prop placed here to fill out someone else’s story. I never wanted to get caught up in this world’s rules or its endless fights for survival. There’s no grand destiny pulling me forward, no higher calling pushing me to act. But ever since I was forced into this academy, I’ve had this sinking feeling. That promise I made to myself? The one about staying out of trouble and just surviving?
