On what should have been a normal day, constructs that would later be coined as dungeons, given their similarities to those found in videogames, by those who delve into them. Subsequently, when people entered the dungeons, they received an RPG-esque system that quantified their current strength and magical skills.

Given such a world-changing event, it came as a shock to the public when the governments of the world swiftly adapted and implemented countermeasures for the dungeons, along with facilities to aid Players, again coined given the whole game analogy people seemed to give the entire event.

The only reason the public was shocked in the first place was later revealed because everyone thought the history class course about a giant portal opening in Africa fifty years before the dungeons' appearance was a joke. The misconception wasn't helped when the kaiji that came out of said portal was instantly defeated by a certain kitsune.

With all these magical occurrences happening in an otherwise normal world, you'd think this would make it the last place someone(or two) from a magical world would want to go to with the intention of a relaxing holiday.
