Description

Arthur figured life couldn’t get much worse. Then the world ended. All he wanted was enough money to take care of his little sister, and he finally landed a job where he could do just that. The problem? All of humanity was abducted on his way to work. Worse? They’re forced into an alien death game with one solution—kill the final boss, or die trying. They’ve got 600 days to get the job done before the planet explodes. But in this system ruled world where every second counts, Arthur’s got an ace up his sleeve. A unique gift that lets him access infinite mana. With it, he’s got a chance, but will he live long enough to use it? Because in the 198th Omni Games, it’s kill or be killed. But Arthur's sister is missing, and he's willing to do whatever it takes to find her, even if that means being a player in their game. Though truth be told, he never was good at playing by the rules. What to expect: -Pure mage MC -Character focused story -Action and humor -Lots of spells -Swearing Chapter Length:1500 - 2500 words

At least for now, in the beginning, the MC doesn't feel OP at all, or not when compared with other novels litrpg with op mcs. He has drawbacks that make him struggle and work together with others to try to rise above it.

This story has a lot of stuff you expect in a LitRPG, but the characters make it more interesting (in my opinion). If you like mage mc stories where the mc still has to struggle, you will enjoy this.
Style: One of the better parts. It's smooth and has a lot of voice. It can also be funny at times.
Grammar: A few issues but not enough to lower the score. Mostly misplaced words rather than actual grammar problems.
Story: The first few chapters aren't the best. I almost dropped at chapter five, but it opens up and gets more adventurous after that. The mc gets with a smaller group after the first few chapters and it gets more focused. The latest chapter also opens up room for more story development.
Character: The best part so far. The mc has a lot of past trauma that has been slowly revealed to us and I find it well done and interesting. His reactions are realistic for him and the side characters are also growing on me. At this point I more care about what happens to the mc than the actual story. Poor guy needs a break!
This is overall and easy and good read.

The description was changed but it used to mention an OP MC. He is strong but not OP in my opinion. He has powerful abilities but still has to struggle a lot in the early chapters. He will probably get OP eventually but like who doesn't in this genre?
That being said, the writing is very very good. I love the main character. He feels realistic and I want to know more about his back story.

Imagine a story where all of the stereotypical tropes of the MC are utilized and then bitch slapped. That's this book.
Storytelling is pretty compelling. Linear and clear progression. The decision making of the MC is consistent and true to character design. If you can get past the opmc trope, this is a good read.

Fun entry to the LitRPG scene. Author clearly has a sense of humor and gives anti-hero vibes.
few moments that felt a little bit unpolished, but for a first chapter release it looks a lot better than most, included my own original chapter.
    looking forwards to updates :)
