The Cold War, and the resulting global nuclear holocaust tore the Veil between the mortal realms and the beyond, and enabled Earth to ignite its core and cultivate mana. With the mana came the rifts, the beasts, the cultivators, and The Integration.

Decades later, Léandros Foster is found, hours old, in a park trashbin. Thrown away at birth, raised in an uncaring system, and struggling with a debilitating illness not even the healers can figure out; becoming a cultivator is Leo’s only way out of a life destined for exploitation and an early grave. But the path to immortality is fraught with adversity. Despite only ever wishing for a peaceful life with the freedom to explore and learn, Leo must become powerful, and fast, if he ever wants to be free and remain alive.
