Short chapters, but I'm glad I gave it a go
It's rare you find a story set in a grimdark 'verse that seems so light-hearted
But when you're a Necron there really isn't much out there that can threaten you, not really. Especially for one of our MC's capabilities.
So you get a bit of a fun romp, MC occasionally using their Super Special Sneaky Skills to creep up and prank their friend every once and a while, because the friend needs a bit of comedic relief. If they make funny faces and squeaky sounds of terror, all the better!
There's a mildly morbid subtext to some of the chaps, or an undercurrent of tension, but otherwise the story lands solidly within 'slice of life fluff, necron edition'
Love how far it's come, excited to see what's next

Didn't take itself seriously. Fun and creative. This is what a fanfic about the universe that called itself "grimdark" and try to be as edgy as possible should be.
Now, why is this only 4 stars and a half instead of 5?
Because there's a switch of the main protagonist in the middle of the story.
In the story, both of them are the same person and nothing was change. But how they acted and their role in the story is different.
The first protagonist
A hybrid mind of a human and a necrontyr running on a Necron hardware.
She's not quite either of them and a little bit sad that she can't feel the same level of emotion as what human/necrontyr can experienced.
Her organic mind is struggling with the limitations of Necron's hardware.
The second protagonist
A Necron Assassin with memory of a human. A whimsical cat in the shape of skeletor robot.
She's all over the place. She care for nothing but her human sworm lord and whatever keep her occupied.
She only care about humanity to the extent of threat evaluation for her lord.

I'm loving the premise of the story and it has the potential to be amazing.
I just hope that it won't fall in to the pit of endless hiatus like so many good necron stories.
The idea of being part of the necron is a great one with very few being around for readers to sink their teeth in.
Over all a great start to a great story.
Keep up the great work 👍
