Description

Sing, Muse, of the two brothers and their star-crossed paths, one through life and flame, the other through the stillness of death.— The Sun and Moon, a poem by the Order of the Ignited's artisan poets

Monsters stalk the planet of Dasos. Its jungles bring only fear and death to those who dare tread it. Which makes it a perfect place to temper the fire of one's soul. Zaharias, Ignited warrior of the Order of the Ignited has died, leaving his young sons, Phaidros and Charon, with the threat of separation and exile. Phaidros seeks to earn his place in the Order and follow in the footsteps of their late father to learn what it means to be a warrior. But, such a path might lead him to the same fate. Charon, in his despair, finds a new power that might be the key to saving his brother from that fate.

Phaidros and Charon is a compelling tale of sibling bonds tested by loss, vengeance, and destiny. The story deftly weaves themes of loyalty and sacrifice as the brothers face harrowing challenges. So far im very impressed!
Phaidros’s reluctant embrace of the Order’s expectations contrasts beautifully with Charon’s discovery of his hidden potential, creating an emotionally charged narrative.
The Greco-Roman philosophical underpinnings add a rich layer to this unique cultivation story. While the lack of immediate answers may frustrate some readers, it invites deeper exploration and reflection. With its promise of daily updates and a larger planned series, Bonds offers an exciting beginning worth following.
