Description

Do you wish you could wake up inside the mind of your favorite anime character? Well, our hero certainly did. From the moment he first laid eyes on (God's Favored Arcanist); An Isekai story centered around the adventures of sixteen-year-old Masato Yamajita as he traveled throughout the world of Echeron.

And Masato had it all; He was a once in a millenium genius known as the (SSS-class Arcanist), capable of wielding every element- and using them to their fullest potential- seemingly without effort. He could boil oceans, flip mountains, freeze volcanos, and as his power grew, so did his personal connections. He became a King, an Emperor, a God... And eventually stumbled into a harem of beautiful women who loved him.

So, imagine our hero's surprise when he finds himself inside the body of a character from (God's Favored Arcanist).

There's just one problem. Our hero isn't Masato Yamajita, he's twelve-year-old Aren (The Devil's Duke) Ulvani: Childhood friend of Masato's first wife, Heir to the Ulvani Dukedom, and the secondary Antagonist of the first season of the anime.

Our Hero isn'ttheHero. He's the misunderstood Bad Guy with a tragic ending.

Armed with only his knowledge of the anime, the body of Aren Ulvani, and six years before the events of the anime begin. Can our hero turn his life around or will the future play out the same way no matter what he does?

I've greatly enjoyed this story and would love to see more of it. I bought the first book off Amazon and will buy the second if/ when it is released to show support

That's it I just read the 6th chapter and wondered why I wasn't following and favoriting this story, it turns out it already was in my favorites, so instead I got here and had to make myself usefull and write a review.
That's how good this story is.
It gets some cliches and turns it upside down. Our dear MC is a man with his own mind and doesen't let us down. He is a smart and strong person that waltz in the most social awkward situations, getting out of the traps laid before him.
Thanks Kenaren for this great story.

If you pardon my inner weeabo screaming and listen I will tell you about this story as of chapter 13.
It possesses pacing so good that few if any other author on this site can compare. The setting is alive and vivid described with simple but powerful words. The characters as of now are well defined and are starting to get fleshed out.
My only concern is that many stories with potential like this one are dropped and left to Rot without a hope of getting completed. Hopefully this isn't one of them.
To conclude. Ignore the page count, it doesn't represent the sheer reading pleasure you get out of those few pages. I can't recommend reading this if you are blind instead I'd recommend it as an audio book. To those who aren't, stop "researching" this book is better read it.
    edit:
im sad to see another story go behind the amazon paywall

The prose and grammar are good. The world-building is awesome and interesting. The characters are fleshed out ok but a little improvement can be done. Loved how the mc handles the challenges and stuff, nowhere is it boring, and leaves you wanting more.
Edit: finished reading the books waiting for more hope you will continue.

    Interesting take on the genre.
Grammar is nice, no glaring issues.
World building is nice, at a speed I like, not to slow or fast.
The MC is interesting if a bit pessimistic and too hard on himself. A lot of potential. The self-negativity is almost too much, but his determination to improve himself makes up for it.
The other characters are also interesting, Kami has potential and there are signs of development. The MC's father and the Emporer are also very interesting, both show a lot of potential. An nice history exists to make a nice side story if needed. Some insight on the MC's father would be appreciated,  an interlude from his perspective perhaps?
Overall a nice story, would recommend this to others.
Thanks, and please keep up the good work.

I came into this story despite it only having a 130 pages of content (I rarely read anything with less than 300) due to it's interesting premise and good ratings. As such I'm writing htis review as of chapter 15 (excluding the interludes which are not numbered). I only found it by coincidence, looking through newly published chapters on the front page.
Despite this I didn't expect much from the story, however... I was pleasantly surprised.
Besides the 'infodump chapters' (the reason for my lowered style rating) I'd even go as far as to call it perfect. The pacing is great, the characters are deeper than what's normal around here, there's an actual plot in there somewhere (it's still mostly obscured, but you can feel that it's there, the promise of impending 'main storyline' things; this story is going somewhere, the author just hasn't spelled it out yet.)
No complaints about the grammar, the interludes (few as they are) are actually well done, in that they are not there to slow down the plot, they are there to continue it from the perspective of major characters other than the protagonist.
The only real complaint I have are the infodump chapters, they're usually supposed to outline information that the protagonist is reading from books, history or how magic works and whatnot. It feels like a lazy approach to exposition; but hopefully there will be fewer of them as the story progresses.
I feel that it's safe to say that if the author keeps it up and properly continues this story, publishing chapters at a nice pace, this story will make it into the top 10, or maybe even top 5 highest rated stories on this site.
I think it's about time this story gets a cover though.

This story is a little more cliche in comparison to his "A snake's rise", but I have to say it's better in my opinion. It seems to have more depth in the world building, though something I think would be fair to call 'Inconsisencies' with the whole technological level.
I suggest reading as of now, I just hope the author doesn't make his character too powerful as like before, and doesn't do the slice of life cliche of making the slice of life part far too long.

So I've read til the épilogue
And this is my thoughts on what I've read.
The style is kinda below average, well better than most thing on royalroadl.com.
It seems extremely rushed.the world building isn't integrated in the story  It makes info dump chapters.
The story is rushed but has potential
Grammar well I'm not the best judge but considering English isn't my first language and I'm dyslexic and orthographique and still found errors that bothers me I must put it as average
    Characters are bland and rushed
Overall a rewrite taking more time on the story would be perfect

The reason for the low score is not because the story in instiantly horible or that it is even bad for the first book it is rather decent. The problem comes later  while most of the story if fine to good there is one thing about it that is irredeemaele to me which is the way he he interacts with children. More than one he has the main character go in depth about how he is physicaly interasted in a 12 year old child how the character know it is wrong as he is an adult but since he is in a childs body himself he can't help it. The idea that as he writes it off as is it's because of the hormones is just plain wrong as not even going into how at that age most arn't really as intersed in the oppisote sex as this character seems to be he does not have to go as in detail as he does. This is not to say he goes into smut but he does have the main character go into how he was a little obsesed with this character back home and now that he is here he can't help himself from looking at her even though she is 12. To put it plainly the story is not even bad that problem is the author having a romance with and adult in a child's body with another child with is not something I feel ok reading.

The author has decided to go with pointless and painful center justification. This makes it much harder on dyslexics and others. This ruins the story before it can even be read for many people.
