- ZetomilRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Serial reincarnation eastern fantasy has always been one of my favorite genres, and the style of this story seems to match those quite well. Do keep in mind that this is still the first world of the story, which means a lot can be hidden for the future. This book seems to focus more on "Sons of Heaven," or children of the world, who are basically the protagonists of their own stories. For now, our main MC will work with those protagonists, but the situation might change on other worlds - direct conflicts are not impossible. Also, there is a small LitRPG mechanic where the main MC uses points accrued from each world's accomplishments to improve his "run" for the next world.
The tone makes me want to continue reading and I enjoy hearing about the adventures in the first world. Story presents many interesting possibilities if the author manages to improve. It seems to follow closely the style of Fantasy Simulator, in which the main MC has to unlock different worlds for reincarnation. That means each venture in a world provides more benefits (points) until the main MC has extracted as much as he can from that world.
Criticism I have is the more boring nature of cultivating with numbers like 0 to 18 pillars, or n number of Core Formation Dao Marks. I generally prefer epic realm advancements with clear cut power spikes. This doesn't seem to be the case for the first world, generic xianxia, which is a bit disappointing. Still, the later stages do look a lot more interesting.
Grammar is imperfect, especially with the random tense changes from past to present. That needs to be eradicated. However, the quality is at least superior to MTL and even the average translation.
Characterization is generic xianxia but there are hints of something else, such as the generic first world MC's wife (not our main MC) actually feeling a hint of dislike for the first world MC. This could be a really interesting plot point. Also, main MC might be a little sinister. Generally, the way these se - ThreeThirdsRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0While the grammer and world building could be better the overall story is good. The protagonists and other characters are decently contructed and have some level personality, though a large portion of the focus is on the MC and the other protagonists at the moment. My only complantes would be how the charcters are all progressing at a very quick pace for the first reincarnation and that the Doa mark aspect would fit better for foundation establishment.

From the title and synopsis, you'd think that this would be a serial reincarnation story about Xiao Ye and this special reincarnation system he gets. The problem is that the story is neither about Xiao Ye nor the system.
Well, maybe it will be, but it's going to take a long time to get there. ~40 chapters in the first life and we feel like we've barely started. If the central premise and driving force is this reincarnation system, it feels like a rugpull to spend a single chapter on it and then go however long (100+ chapters??) before we come back to this again. The story needed to start with a few short, quick (failed?) lives before it could stretch it legs out with a longer, successful life.
The other major issue is that it doesn't feel like Xiao Ye's story, it feels like the other character's stories. Xiao Ye gets bumped to the side repeatedly while the "protagonist" character (there's some meta-trope stuff happening) is the driving force behind the narrative. For example, in the first 9 chapters of the first life, 6 chapters are about a tournament arc (and isn't that a hell of a pacing problem) which Xiao Ye isn't even a participant in. And yet we are narrative shown through several key fights, including all of the "protagonist's" fights. Xiao Ye really only comes in because of how he can influence the "protagonist's story" be resolving the poltiical issues around the tournament.
And he continues to be side-lined. Almost none of the narrative drive is because of Xiao Ye. The protagonist leaves the sect? Time-skip until he comes back. Sure, give an overview of what Xiao Ye did while the protagonist was gone, but when he leaves again... timeskip!
I'm not sure how the other lives will fair, but it almost feels like Xiao Ye is a side character who is making anthology of other protagonist's stories. - TwpatryRoyal Road★★ 2.0Description of the story sounded like it's going to be an interesting big picture romp through multiple universes.
A few chapters in and we are still just following a tournament arc in excruciating detail without knowing anything about any of the characters.
I don't know if this is a problem of managing expectations or of translation or something else. Maybe the story gets better and I just don't have the patience to wait. But the first few chapters board me to death and I can't continue.
Recommendation to the author: keep the first chapter because it's an intro to the story but either add chapters so that we know why we need to care about this tournament or delete a bunch of chapters and keep the scope big.
Bas sorry, your reader will be looking forward to the next life during each chapter and you have to keep them interested in this life well, at the same time, have your reader anticipate the next life. It's a balancing act with tension from current life and future life Making things exciting for your reader, but if you mess it up then you will lose your reader completely.
Also for plausibility your main character should fail a bunch of times between lives so it doesn't just turn into a plot armor book. - danlinRoyal Road★★ 2.0This is just slightly below average imo. It's very generic and the main problem I have is that there's very little character interaction that is enjoyable to read. There's no one interesting to talk to and when someone does talk it isn't really important. I the characters would have developed more.
The story reads like a detailed summary. The real mc isnt developed except for his cultivation level going up. This story just follows the fake mc like a summary and that's it.
It was fairly interesting at the start but I waited for it to get better and it got worse
