Description

“There is no more a turbulent time to live than during the slow, often violent, fall of a dying empire.”

Within the borders of the turbulent Revaryn Empire, a young noble named Kaewyn Edderfield is left in charge of his father's land of Greystone Province. Kaewyn however, would prefer to spend his time in taverns or reading books rather than do his duty as acting lord. Now burdened with the responsibility of rule, he must navigate the courtly world of provincial politics where officials, both military and civil, vie for favour and position.

Along the way, Kaewyn will meet a plethora of characters. Among them are arrogant scholars, rival nobles as well as new and old friends. Knowing who to place his trust in and who to push aside will be vital if his home of Greystone Province is to survive the coming chaos.

The Battle are presented in an realistic and historical proof way , currently there Is not much management since the MC was catapulted in many conflict ,character are likeable , i think however that minor noble should be added tò make It more feudal realistico

Have an Idea, make a plan for your idea, excute your plan.
The amount of time and effort the author must of put into this story is inspiring. He writes with a clear goal in his story telling, no nonsensical moments, just plain rational good writing. With his methodical planning he created a excellent foundation for the first book.
The story follows a young nobleman Kaewyn who was left behind by his father to run the province, while his Father and "Brother" goes to fight to put down a rebellion. His mother mysteriously leaves to go visit her family in the Far East at the same time. Leaving our main character utterly alone.
Secretly in the inside, Kaewyn wishes nothing more but to see the return of his Brother, Mother, and especially his Father.
With consistent critiques and criticism from his Father's administrative aides, lack confidence and tiredness starting to show. With his known  hobby of reading, and lack of Martial talent Kaewyn must gain the respect...No...He must Demand respect of both Adminstrative and Military personal in his fathers court.
In these turbulent times will kaewyn bow down and accept his fate. Or will he rise and accept his responsibility and become a worthy Heir.
With Lost comes Growth, with Growth comes Envy.

I was looking for a kingdom building where the Mc doesn't use modern knowledge, doesn't have a harem, and isn't physically weak. Then I found House of Honor, and I absolutly love it! I'm not gonna say all the things this book does right, but I will say that if your tired of stories where the Mc makes their kingdom/territory into an industrial power house and/or gathers massive harems, this is definetly for you.

This story so far is remarkable. The author must have spent alot of time working on the characters back stories. The story is rich in characters that feels real. Nothing is over the top, nothing is black and white. They are all characters with good and bad, they all have their faults, or positives, and act accordingly.
We follow a young noble that is left at home and in charge of his fathers province, while the father is away in war. The MC is immature and would prefer to spend his time reading books, talking with interesting people or out hunting. Anything that he enjoys doing without any type of responsibility.
Life seldom lets you do what you want though. And hardship is on the horizon. The MC steadily matures during the story and does his best according to his capabilities and experience. He makes mistakes, like we all do, but he is not stupid, and he learns from them and seems to progress to become a great leader of his people.
This seems so far to become one of the great kingdom building stories and I am for sure looking forward to follow Kaewyn and how he deals with the hardships and trials in his future, as well as the glimmer of hope and possible happiness.
This is definitely worth a read if you like kingdom building stories with struggles where nothing is gained easily and characters that have depth in them.

Well into reading this book I realized just how much work the author put into making a banger of a story as the story is rich and entertaining. Here is what i love about this book and think what others will love too.
Show and Tell: This book is what they mean when they saw show and Tell. The author describes the scenes as if they were right before you or if you were watching a movie. The scenes are written very well and i love how the author takes the time to paint a picture for us instead of just straight telling us. I like to do the detective work and not be told blatantly what is happening, so I love how the author just describes it.
Realistic: For a medieval story this is very realistic. It feels as if these events that i don't want to spoil, happened in real life and the characters interaction with the world around them is just as how you'd imagine our medieval ancestors to actually act and behave. The dialogue is very fun and interesting too, with a few serious tones but it is very warming.
Fictional structure: The world is well structured and very realistic. I like the how detailed the author is and how the laws of his world are set. The kingdoms and provinces are explained in a way that you could map it out in your mind. I love the strategies and politics, also the philosophies each character has. Every aspect a medieval kingdom would have in real life is detailed in this book.
Interesting personalities: I found the characters personalities to be amazing. You can sympathize and understand these characters with their flaws and view of life. Out of all the characters is liked Kaewyn the most as he's not perfect but he always does his best. I feel many readers can sympathize with kaewyn.
Info dump in bite sized pieces: I love how the author reveals certain information while keeping the story moving, he drops little hints and revelations in bite sized pieces, so you don't get overwhelmed.
The only gripe was the chapters are a tad lengthy, but if you enjoyed the

I first would like to state that I am a good friend of the author.
The story is well written and has interesting characters that are different shades of grey, and not just pure good or evil. The characters have flaws and make mistakes, then learns from them and grow as people. The pacing is a little slow at times but it's all setting up the scenes and building the world.

A book that left me conflicted - on one hand, I am impressed by the author’s attention to detail and realistic portrayal of medieval warfare. On the other, as the novel is, in the author’s own words, a first draft, it is rather replete with grammatical errors. Further, the author has the tendency to “leave out” or skip scenes that, while not necessarily plot-essential, would have added to the reading experience substantially. The book is full of cliches, not all of which are handled tactfully, but the author leans into the straightforwardness of the story in a way I believe mitigates their effects.
That said, this is one of the better examples of the Kingdom Management genre currently on RR, and has a significant amount of good content posted, so I’d recommend a read.
I did quite enjoy the stories herein, but they are definitely in need of a rewrite.

The story is decent in writing. However the MC is driving me crazy with his immaturity. I get he develops, but in essence he is a coward (not even willing to discuss marriage with a woman he is kissing and has feelings for because it terrifies him). Stopped in the middle of the heir book as I just cant continue.

First of all, the early chapter definetly need a rewrite. My thought while reading this is "finally some kingdom building novel without mc being isekaid". But that hope was dashed out of the window when i read the early story. The mc feels like some kid, i understand if the story being programmed from weak to strong, but the mc being inconsistent throught the early chapter feels like brain dead to me.
Example: When the mc being kidnapped by deserter, he could at least try to bluff about his identity, instead he reveal his identity was a lord, like come on bro is this the best you can do.
If there is improvement on consistency on the mc and side character, it definetly has potential.
Anyway the story feels like taking place in medieval europe and ancient china mash up, but there is no clear line what the culture looks like. I hope the author read more books or novel about medieval story so there is englihtment to speak of. This is author first story, so there is room for improvment, Cheers!!

Mc is too naive for too long, romace subplot is to stretched without confirmation. The Mc is incredibly irresponsible and cowardly when dealing with his romance life. Not to mention the author making everybody really stupid when it comes to strategies and Tactics of battles so to make obvious ideas and plans be seen a some genius orchestra of the Mc. I started reading the book with great anticipation, but was greatly disappointed and frustrated with the progression of the story.
For the author: I hope you would reassess your writing and manage to write a better, proper story next time. Lastly I thank you for writing a kingdom-building story which is my favorite genre which I don't ever stop searching for a new decent one.
