I decided to write a fantasy story with LGBTQ representation because I barely see it anywhere. So big CW for homophobia, sexism, transphobia, racism, classism and ableism. Also features some creepy values about women and stuff, generally outdated white coloniser values, you know. The main storyline is about overcoming these ideals and finding love, happiness and meaning even when the odds are against you.

Even as I write this I worry that Home Beyond the Horizon has been abandoned, but even if it hasn't been I still loved what I can read of it.
Home doesn't shy away from showing the hardships of being trans, it doesn't soften the impact of those hardships either. Nor does it give any illusion about wealth being an escape from those hardships, especially when you don't have any real access to it. How when it is your family's money wealth becomes another arm of abuse.
Oliver so plainly being nothing but a token for his father to trade off as a bride to be wed, threats made perfectly clear if Oliver doesn't bite his tongue and bend the knee. But Oli dares.
And I hope he continues to dare.
