- Legend_No1Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Enjoying the story so far; interesting plot set up and foreshadowing, as well as as a fun variety of both perspectives and interactions.
Would give a perfect 5 stars; but in the future please double check the grammar as there's a few mistypes and use of the wrong tense.
I look forward to the story's future and may upgrade my rating to a 5, if it continues with the high quality story and character interactions
Updated: it's definitely 5 stars, keep going Orgo. My only wish would be for more/ longer chapters - McBlasterRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This isn't normally the kind of story I would read, but saw it on the trending list and thought I'd give it a go... And glad I did.
What would you do if you time-looped back to 2009? Well if you lived in Los Angeles and loved movies and books it's simple, you'd plagiarize the hell out of all your favourites. Bahaha
The MCs System is simple yet not really a focal point in the story. The MC Regal has the drive and vision get 'his' media out to the public to earn himself the points he needs for his System. With just a little touch up to the originals.
A bit of name dropping of the media he procures from the system, but it's quite obvious that Orgowriters isn't trying to take credit of these works IRL.
It's a rather enjoyable read, fast(ish) progression with good characters and a focus on storytelling of the MCs journey to publish his works. Well written dialogue that seems natural. Not much in the way of setting description; not that it's needed.
Only criticism I have is that after the book release it just drops off from the story (along with Gwen), while MC moves onto his next project.
Loving it so far and looking forward to continuing reading. - Yousuf AhmedRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I basically read every Hollywood story in Royalroad.
This is the best one I have ever read. What exactly is a Hollywood story? Basically it is actor, director or scriptwriter that works or creates movies or shows.
The thing of this story that makes it stands out is that rewriting our history by making a better world.
Imagine the flaws in DC and how they bombed in the box offices. This story gives alternative movies then the onces we have in our reality. My favorite section was the spiderman movie that was creating in this story, which best of all three movies and make me wish I could have seen in real life.
This is great story and I wish it had more readers because this is gold. - memphisrocksRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Ok, I started this and ended up binge reading for 3 days straight. I am rating it 4.5 stars, but wish I could rate it a 5. There are just a lot of little continuity errors such as wrong dates 2001 instead of 2011 and mixing up Ross as Rose.
With a little editing help it could be a 5 as it drew me in, even though there are a lot of Hollywood System stories. - eflowRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The plot is interesting and the characters are fun. Yes, there are some chapters that seem a bit repetitive but overall, this is definitely one of the better Hollywood/Entertainment System novels out there. Doubly so since this doesn't seem like one of those "translated from CN" works.
However, there is a clear lack of editing along with a weird grasp of diction.
Aside from the standard grammar issues one can expect from webnovel... there are multiple places where the author just straight up invents new words. Some of them seem like if speech to text was used but the software was bugged. eg: "carkyness" for "quirkiness".
Other places it feels like an AI was used to comb through and replace repetitive descriptions with less used synonyms: "auteur" instead of "director".
Whatever the case, this story is still engaging enough if you can tune out the random vocabulary.
word count wordy counting adding verbosity to fulfill surplus requirements because a relevant review requires two hundred words for some reason why why I don't understand but here you go stream of consciousness for the win oh comon I need more words feels like I'm writing a paid padded webnovel instead of a review - MimoriDinkoRoyal Road★★★ 2.5First, I want to share my general impressions. This is one of those stories with a system and Hollywood elements, and not one of the better ones. The driving force of the story is the system, whose mechanics are clearly designed for rapid progression and instant improvement of the user in all areas. There’s no overcoming of difficulties and no real sense of satisfaction. The protagonist’s motivation is frankly unclear, other than making money. Throughout the entire story, there was only one moment where we saw the main character genuinely interested in something he supposedly loved according to the plot.
Also, since this is a Hollywood-themed story, it uses information from the real world. And while we might understand what Harry Potter means, that doesn’t guarantee that people will get all the other references the author makes — many elements lack proper explanation.
Another frustrating aspect is the plot developments — or rather, the lack of them. In one chapter, the protagonist thinks a girl is pretty; a few chapters later, he’s already slept with her, as if it were nothing, and immediately starts a relationship. It didn’t feel like an organic interaction, but rather something externally imposed.
Overall, this feels like a wish-fulfillment work that is easy to read — a chapter a day, not for users who want to read all at once. It’s readable, but not much more than that. - Heather SerraRoyal Road★★ 2.0Blatant wish fulfillment. The MC gets everything too easy without any real effort. Harry Potter is a multi-billion dollar story… yet the MC obtains it within the first two chapters? Harry Potter was written long before 2009, yet no where does it make clear that this is an alternate universe. Also, the story is pretty abrupt in its entry… no real reason to be invested.
