BOOK 1 HIVE MIND BEYOND THE VEIL
Imagine waking up somewhere completely foreign, with no memory of how you got there, no explanation for why you were chosen. That’s my reality now.
My mind pulses with an endless stream of biological knowledge how life forms adapt, how cells divide and heal, and the microscopic patterns that form the basis of all living things. It’s as if the secrets of life itself have been poured into me, and yet, I barely know what to do with them.
This strange existence as a hive mind is both a gift and a burden. I can see through countless eyes, feel through countless senses, and understand each creature within my domain as an extension of myself.
Every individual’s instinct, and every microbe’s purpose, all make up the larger, shared intelligence that I now command. I didn’t decide this, but here I am, forced to adapt.
BOOK 2HIVEMIND SPECTRE HAUNTING THE STARS
When I was reborn into this world, war was the only thing I knew. My first memories are of violence, genocide and the taste of battle was the first thing that filled my senses.
I fought, bled and died, then rose again, carrying every lesson gleaned from countless drones I controlled. I learned to adapt, to turn losses into instruments of survival, and to refine my forces until they became a single, relentless will.
I have already crushed the dregs of the Triumvirate. That victory was small and costly now I prepare for the greater storm to come. The Triumvirate will marshal all its might.
I will meet them on my terms. For I will not fade quietly into the void.

- OhtepRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0it's an amazing hive mind concept, though I wish it would be longer each chapter with the author taking their time, but I wouldn't complain since there's already a lot of chapters, also author, there's a lot of decrepancies, I had to reread where the mc have to make bio-layers cause it crossed me out of nowhere.
- ChancesimpRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This book has amazing potential and so I am writing this review in hopes to encourage the author to continue this amazing book.
We have so few Empire building books and this book could fill that gap missing on RR.
An intriguing start with a mysterious origin that I am sure will be explored as the Mind continues to develop toward its fist long-term goal of reaching the Creators planet. The immediate threat of the clones and their mysterious backers is very promising. The basic Psionic adds in a little magic to a sci-fi universe.
I can not wait to see how the Hive Mind develops in the future. - CladbeliefRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story progresses smoothly, no long dialogues or unmeaningful interactions, the point of view of both the enemy and the protagonist are interesting and explored in the story. I also enjoyed the evolution of the protagonist and-spoiler: his comradorship with seer or his thoughts about food. Overall, its a great hive mind story with an interesting character and enemy.
- Xiao_NattyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I've tried to read other Hivemind novels in the past and most of them are utter trash, some with idiotic borderline dumb MC who can't even properly use the hive to his advantage ( and curses alot), some with an overly naive MC that still wants to be human or go back to Earth etc. But this one is exactly what I imagine if we're talking about a hivemind. It's on par with Chrysalis (not the ant one), and Posthuman ( though posthuman's not really a hivemind?). And the worldbuilding, the mystery unfolding as you read more of the story - it absolutely pulls you in.
- MynameisdipRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I have been looking for a good gestalt consciousness or hive mind story for a long time, but usually there are so many limitations put on them that it's annoying, or the "human" part just takes over the story. But this one doesn't do that it feel like how an atuwaly hive mind would work. The way it exponentially expands, constantly shifting tactics and troops is both so cool and what I've been wanting in a hive mind story. The battle feel mostly realistic/balanced in an understandable way to me.
- AccelXRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Really enjoyed the story - it shows a mc who constantly evolves as he fights, he has no system, no morals or human setbacks. In fact the author goes about human brutality in really clever way (spoiler)
The enemy the mc fight is not human, although even if even if it were it wouldn't change the mc ruthless mindset.
It has very good pace and amazing worldbuilding that is getting way more complex as of the second book. Recomend to everyone who like sci-fi swarm and military as well as actual inhuman mc that fights as he should too. - amil1lionRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I've tried what Hivemind novels I could find (Reborn as a Hive Queen, Path of a Hive Queen) but they never seemed to execute very well. They always seem to try to bring too much of the human/past life mindset to the non-human protagonist. This novel does a good job acting as an actual hivemind/hive queen. It doesn't try to treat every drone in the hive as a child of the MC but as a part of the whole to be used for the hive.
It feels almost like the it's written from the perspective of the hive in Starship Troopers. I could also most see the hive growing into a future of galactic conquest with large hiveships traveling through systems. - CutbastraRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5So the upsides first,
The story premise and swarm is sound and fine. I think the author had a good idea of what he wants the swarm and story to be, and he has some great ideas on how it should operate in a believable manner, and so far I have enjoyed what he had done.
But man... the writing...
Overuse of — emdashes every paragraph, "this isn't ___ , it is ____", overly weird descriptors all describing the same thing, how it describes the "science" of something just fine then adds in random exagerrations.
Its the whole ai slop, and I from what the author has said, english isnt his first language so he uses Grammarly, but man reading the story geniunely felt unbearable, I tried to push through but just couldnt force it. So if you like ai writing go ahead and give it a try, the idea is fine. - greycouchRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I like this story, its well written, got a decent style, has a clear direction it seems. But I will say I don’t understand much calling it a hive mind. He is in charge of a hive yes, but this is certainly not a hive mind. There is no shared collective intelligence, just information transferred rapidly.
I think it really shows in how drones are created. A hive mind would not differentiate between bodies and individuals. Why does it refer to its main body has “I”. Is it not all the bodies? Why would the mind differentiate and refer to drones as Others? If they are all one mind, I feel like it would show in the language more. At the moment, It reads more like an inventor of organic robots connected all via bluetooth, rather than a strict single intelligence emerging.
Im still going to read and love the story however. - Simon97549Royal Road★★ 1.5I love the concept and world building having a swarm start in a vacuum adds design challenges to any and all drones that are solved in an interesting way. Having 3 paragraphs dedicated to each minute weapon is awful. Having 3 new paragraphs because that was just the first model makes the story unbearably slow. Don't read this.
