Description
In the Southern megacity of Carthage, a young man's childhood best friend vanishes into a secret network of clinical trials run bymega-corporations. Rawls can't find any information about her on public sites.
Butthe net goes deeperthan the public sites. The corps made the net for two reasons:profit and control. Everyone else does their best to survive according to its rules.

- BaxderRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a great read for any fan of cyberpunk, particularly of Netrunner. Not in-universe per se, but clearly referencing everything about the game with very clever turns of phrases and pseudonyms. Joe pulls that off while diving deep into his vision of that dystopia, putting his own spin on it while avoiding cliches and telling a compelling character-driven story.
- CrelerSquidRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5A fair story about a kid who has a lot of secrets entering into a world of secrets.
With reasonable descriptions of characters and strong depictions of scenery, this story has a ton of potential!
It's a little early to say too much more about the story. We've had action scenes, a little bit of romantic interest, and a gripping call to action, all that remains to be seen is how the story will actually play out.
