- caieeRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I was randomly scrolling the new novel releases page and saw this was the most recent and decided.....why not?
Upon reading the first page, I was instantly captivated, it was as if my adhd kicked in and just sucked me into the world. I was completely invested, so much so that I forgot where I was for a moment. Not many stories have gotten me to do that, a lot of times even, I would start skipping lines because I would get bored, but I read this thoroughly.
The first few paragraphs were key to achieving this, they were filled with mystery and granted me that feeling of curiosity. You know what you’re doing… I really wanted to know what happened so I was basically forced against my will to read on, I blame you.
The imagery was descriptive but was not too much, it kept it simple and effective which made it so that I could really visualise what was occurring. A lot of novels struggle to achieve that.
And also the beginning lines were pretty relatable :<
Honestly, the only criticism is the very trivial typos made at the end. Other than that, I actually love this. Keep going :D
