Description
Dane McAllister was only eight when the apocalypse began. Mana flooded the world, twisting the land and turning animals into monsters. Civilizations crumbled, and humanity became prey. When the elves arrived, they were welcomed as saviors.
Dane trained hard, awaiting his Draft into the Imperial System. Warriors were treated well, and that was his ticket to a good life. But that chance never came.
A dungeon collapse leaves him crushed, forgotten, and presumed dead. Something ancient stirs.
The dungeon sees him. It claims him.
Marked by a force older than the System, Dane climbs. He is fractured, reshaped, and becoming something else entirely. As he battles monsters, tyrants, and his own unraveling humanity, he uncovers a hidden truth: once a being attains a certain level of power, they ascend.
When the System turns its back, Dane has only one path forward: forge a new order from the ruins.
Here's the deal:
Heaven's Rejectedisn't a happy story. It's brutal, messy, and full of people making the wrong choices, sometimes on purpose. The fights are savage, the monsters are vicious, and every decision has a cost. There are no guaranteed wins, no clean victories, and no "safe" paths.
If you're tired of perfect heroes, this story may be for you.Heaven's Rejectedis about survival, consequence, and losing your way. It's about clawing a way forward when everything's stacked against you. About finding meaning in the struggle, not the victory.
The characters bleed, break, and keep going anyway. Because in this world, strength doesn't make you a hero. It just reveals what's underneath.

- Grey ValeRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I made it through 11 chapters before I had to get ready for the morning BUT! The prose is cinematic brutality at its finest. The writing alternates between tight, punchy action and atmospheric quiet moments that feel almost dreamlike. I love your use of sensory detail. The acid burning skin, mana rivers glowing blue, bones cracking in Dia’s jaws. It really makes the makes the world feel tactile and violent.
The humor lands exactly where it should (especially Dia’s commentary), breaking tension without undermining stakes. Your style feels like grimdark merged with LitRPG, but elevated with emotional weight and layered worldbuilding.
I really enjoy this. I've never read a LitRPG but the details of every just makes it slap. It reads fast, clean, and visual. like a Netflix anime / Soulsborne novelization.
Character 5/5
Dane is a fantastic protagonist honestly. While not overpowered, not chosen, just stubborn, athletic, and willing to hurt to keep going. His desperation feels grounded, and his “use whatever is available” survival mentality is fun to watch.
Story 4/5
Chapters 1–11 evolve from “escape dungeon arc” to something far larger
A human–spirit bond that actually matters.
Survival and resource progression that feel earned.
A dungeon ecosystem with real rules.
A miniboss fight that escalates into a near-death event.
A resurrection that redefines the series.
A massive lore drop revealing the System itself as an ancient emperor-core.
The story starts as gritty dungeon desperation and becomes mythic. The pacing is generally excellent. Each chapter adding a new mechanic, danger, or revelation.
If anything, a few transitions (like the TV dream vision) could be clarified slightly on edit. But narratively? The first 11 chapters set up a multi-book epic with surprisingly deep roots.
Grammar 5/5
Absolutely solid, zero complaints and reads extremely clear. Even using text to audio(which can sometimes suck) read through this perfectly fine.
