Great read. A nice mix of traditional cultivation genre, comedy, and something like a realistic touch of what life might be like in a Qi sect. Great characters, especially the MC, who’s a bit of a fish out of water. Touching at times and sad. You don’t feel like any characters, besides the MC,  is safe from death. Not an overly description of battle after battle and step by step detail of improvements, but enough of it that it makes sense.  But still, gloriously violent with horrible villains and plenty of sadistic antagonists that are fun to hate.

This story keeps surprising me. I started it expecting a typical Xianxia, a bit of power fantasy, but honestly this is a lot more philosophical. What is the human condition? What is the path to happiness? What makes someone a monster? If a human becomes a god, are they still human? All of these sorts of questions are floating around in the background here, and it adds a lot of depth to the story. And yeah, there's a decent story here too!

Honestly the style of this book was a bit interesting at first. And yet I quickly fell in love. It cuts out the boring unnecessary parts of a cultivation novel and allows the rest to flourish. Its pace rapid, yet one that can no doubt be sustained due to the long length of cultivation. I personally enjoy the world building and perspective shifts as well.
    Overall 10/10 A+ Highly enjoyable

I’m really enjoying these first few chapters! Tantra’s dry humor is one of my favorite parts—she’s not your typical overpowered protagonist, which makes her journey feel more relatable. Her interactions with others, especially the banter with Yorin and Karaz, add personality and keep things light.
The worldbuilding is solid, with just enough intrigue about the cultivation system and character backgrounds to keep me interested. The balance between action and humor works well, and the hints at deeper conflicts set up some great potential for emotional depth.
Overall, a strong start. I’m hooked and looking forward to where Tantra’s journey goes!

I was very pleasantly surprised by this story. There is a neat start concept which allow to have something different from what we usually get.
Especially, the story avoid useless chapters of endless random fights to focus on multiple short moments that define the character and make you really care about what is happening to them. This allow a greater pace while keeping us attached to the characters.
Unfortunately, in the last few chapters, this is less the case. There is more focus on useless very generic parts and less on the character building parts. In addition to that, the main character is slowly but surly becoming quite generic losing much of what made her stands out at the start.
I'm very uncertain how this story is going to evolve.

TLDR: Not for me but good regardless.
Overall the story is interesting, the grammar works and the world building is solid. The reason I give it 4 stars is simply because in trying to be unique it also breaks a few very solid rules of this type of novel.
In a variety of events where elders or at least the more powerful individuals in a sect would be expected to act they refuse. Instead they basically let their already severely reduced numbers dwindle even further to the point where objectively they become vulnerable to anyone who would want to destroy them.
The MC is challenged to a duel she refused and her master sits back and lets her get attacked by a random cultivator.
I get the author is going for a hands off approach here but in reality there is a reason that approach is done very rarely in these types of novels. Yes it is good training but it provides no loyalty, encourages the MC and other members to abandon the sect and calls in to question the honor of her master and the sects leaders. Or it would in a typical novel..This bothers me enough that I will no longer continue with the story but I recognize that there is good work there and if others are not bothered by it I encourage those to read it.

This has a refreshing world building, and includes well fleshed out characters.
My one complaint with the work is that the perspective shifts, as well as time skips, and/or general transitions can be very jarring.
I can't wait to read more!
I am hopeful to see the protagonist progress in her various ways, and that this doesn't get dropped. ^^
