Description

Ben was having the worst day of his life—then he died. But instead of moving on to whatever comes next, he woke up in the Wizarding World as Benedict Brown, the alternate male version of Lavender Brown. Which is... concerning, because Lavender Brown did not have a great time during the Second Wizarding War. On the bright side, he’s apparently the Dovahkiin. And he has a Skyrim shop system. So, you know, pros and cons. Can he survive Hogwarts, Death Eaters, and whatever else this world throws at him? Or will he end up as werewolf chow just like Lavender? One thing’s for sure—he’s going to loot everything that isn’t nailed down. --- Release Schedule: 4 chapters per week. What readers say about Harry Potter and the Dovahkiin

  • I really like the story. It's got a lot of personality to it and the underlying concept of harry potter + Skyrim is also very fun. Definitely has my seal of approval. Wish the author the very best of luck with this and my thanks for writing it!  : )

Hmmm, keep bringing the gold brother, this story has made my day (cause I literally binged the whole thing today). Ok now to go and stop ignoring my family, good thing I ran out of chapters.

I love the Harry Potter universe and good fanfics. I grew up reading the stories as they came out.
The writing in this story is polished and speaks heavily of the author’s commitment to it. Not to mention you can see that based on the chapter count.
There are plenty of new and exciting powers introduced and though it can be a little overwhelming at times, I think it is handled pretty darn well.
The characters, especially The MC, all feel like distinct and unique people with their own personalities and goals.
The author adds a unique twist to a well loved and established series, creating a very easy to follow style. Even the poem for sorting, which I found great, was not an intrusion, but rather an incredible addition that made me question whether or not it was in the original. It was very good.
Though I did see some grammar errors, they felt almost intentional, such as in dialogue. They never distracted from the story, and at times made the people living in it more real.
i mean, not much else to say. The story is great. The author obviously cares. And read it if you like Harry Potter, cool powers, and fanfics.

There's a poem in the Sorting chapter that is absolutely amaaaazing.  I thought Rowling wrote it at first, but Google's revealing nothing when I search the text.  So I'm assuming it's original.
Edit: Author confirmed it's Rowling, but got cut by her editor.
Really, insanely good poem/song.  It's Nick telling the story of his beheading.  Quite funny.
If you don't read the story at least read that chapter for the poem at the end.

This is a very good fanfic. The writing is above average and I'm really enjoying the way specific characters speak. The way Ben and his Aunt are written you can just imagine it clearly in your head. Story wise it's good, I find it interesting although it seems he's getting way more powers than I originally thought he would by this point but hey he is the dragonborn so I'm not gonna be too upset by it. Anyways, all in all a solid Fanfic and I can't wait for more since I'm all caught up with current release.

It is a good story, but it is tagged as an adventure and I do not see a slice of life tag. At this point I do not feel the adventure, only some pranks and cozy time with friends and family. Playing games, pranking Malfoy and everyone else, snooping around the castle without any solid plot - this is just fooling around, not an adventure.
The author had crafted a nice road, but it leads nowhere.

I had a whole review written but it disappeared because RR app is stupid.
    TLDR
    As of Ch11:
Poor writing style: cringey A/N's in the middle of chapters.
Bad punctuation: Dialogue not ending in periods, dialogue ending with periods and commas, and whole paragraphs that are one sentence because the author's been using commas instead of periods.
Interesting story: MC isekai's into HP with a Skyrim gamer System. Not exactly ground breaking or original, but still interesting.
Character: still early in the chapter so character is meh. Not good but not bad.
It's honestly strange. The first chapter felt good. I felt a connection with the MC, his relationship with his family was conveyed well, and his history was relatable.
Then, when our MC isekai's, suddenly the writing quality drops into the usual, low tier fanfic writer style.
Idk wtf happened, but it happened.
I'm just gonna fill this up with copy paste for now.
