Harem Protagonist's Sidekick

Description

Finally! I was finally free of all the drama surrounding Ethan and his harem from last year. Now, I just wanted to enjoy my new high school–Lakewood Academy–and avoid the shenanigans of Ethan and his new group of infatuated girls. This proved difficult, however, when one of the girls approached me with a request that I was forced to accept. Damn my best friend and his meddling. Anyway, such a simple request somehow ended up with me being suckered into helping all of them grow closer to Ethan. It seemed like no matter what I did, I was destined to remain his sidekick. I guess my life was going to be a lot livelier than I imagined. Or annoying. Definitely one of the two.

I really do enjoy how the chracters just aren't dumb. They act, sound, and are good friends with each other in a reasonable and fun way, which is in great contrast to other novels of this genre (where mob exists in Harem MC's world). Ethan, especially, since he does seems to be a great friend.

Overall, I like this story and recommend it for anyone who wants an average school life story with average characters.  It follows most of the standard tropes that I've seen many times in slice-of-life/school life manga and anime and I could easily imagine this as an anime similar to Kimi ni Todoke or any of the others that has a shy or apathetic MC who opens up and learns to enjoy life more once they are pushed into making friends and getting out more.  If you like that, you'll like this, and you'll appreciate that it has good grammar and realistic characters, but it'll never be the most intense or most intriguing story out there.

i will not lie i like a good fight just as much as anybody but sometimes it gets boring, and then we have this, its full of bromance, romance, drama and an MC who is relatable(somewhat).
so tired of action, then hop on to the rid
p.s. some readers may or may not get sugar overdose while reading this.

Certainly not the most unique of stories you'll find here on RR as it makes use of common tropes found in the slice of life genre and does not stray from it. But what tropes it does have, it makes use of well. Overall, it is a rather heartwarming and relaxing story to read about friendships and relationships and all that entails.

Rip mc. Got the worst girl. Even [redacted] was better than [redacted]. Fuckkkkkkkk.
    Alright, my thoughts:
The entire premise of the mc being a sidekick only lasted until after the Rika date and Nora was introduced. After that everything revolved around him and Ethan became the sidekick.
The next main problem is that the FIRST introduced girl is ALWAYS supposed to be the main girl unless it's the childhood friend. The first girl was [redacted]. [Redacted] got her which was expected but sad because she was first introduced in order of importance. [Redacted] was second. Then Nora. Chloe had no screentime so forget about her.
The novel did evoke emotions but not the ones it said it would from the synopsis. The mc became a normal mc. I liked the story until [redacted] won so you get 3.5 stars. Gj.
You also completed it, so props for that.
