Unfortunately for him, the Machinist wars of decades past have set humanity on the back foot, their Elven overlords are less transparent than a black hole, and the Protocols that everyone has to follow to keep them safe are fine and dandy, as long as you don't think about exactly how many kids go missing in the woods.

But he doesn't care, because he has a Plan. One that won't let anything get in it's way. And the first step of that plan is making his way to the Voidstone Academy, where everything is sure to make sense.

I started reading this book a few months ago and from the first chapter I knew it was something special and to keep a close eye on it, and it still pays off to keep up to date with it. It just keeps getting better, somehow. Awesome visuals, memorable characters, witty realistic dialogue, fun real life references , the list goes on and on. I personally cannot wait until I can have a physical copy to call my own. I think anyone who loves a great magic system and intense scenes of people being unmade will treasure reading Hard Won Magic
