This is the fiction I didn't know I needed until my mouse wheel caught fire because I was scrolling too fast. I then switched over to my laptop until I bore a hole through the trackpad. As I write this on my tablet, my fingers are still smoldering with the righteous flames of OC fanfiction.

I should probably start this review by saying that I really expected not to enjoy this. I mean sure there was some nice artwork and all, but I certainly didn't expect much more than a simple power fantasy combining the two of the author's favorite pieces of fiction. In case you missed the five-star rating, I was pleasantly surprised.
Starting with style, there are two things I should probably mention. First, chapters are long, averaging around 44 pages each, which means that those who enjoy short, regularly scheduled chapters will likely be disappointed. Second, I still have no clue what the style category is meant to be used for, and as such, I have nothing more to add to this section of the review.
Next up, story. The short version is that it's an enjoyable if simple story that has few problems beyond its lack of complexity. My only real gripe is that it feels a bit rushed. This was likely done intentionally so that the author could move between scenes faster, but it does leave some moments feeling a bit short, or some actions feeling out of line with a character.
The grammar is great, I don't think I noticed many, if any, typos. Not much else to say.
Most of the characters in this fiction are fine, a few are cliches but most are interesting and act in believable ways. Of course, I did mention that some act irrationally, yet it doesn't hurt my overall opinion of the fiction. But, and this is a rather small but, there is one exception. Mild spoilers ahead.

Halsey. I don't like the way her character is written. To the author's credit, they did write her within the bounds established in various other Halo works. Ironically, that seems to be the problem. Her character feels more forced and less natural than various other minor characters despite her presence in the spotlight. My guess is that the author felt forced to write her in this way to meet pre-existing criteria, but it's hard to say for sure.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent read
