Born under the oppression of those who believe they have the divine right to rule, Kale dreams of seeing glory restored to his people.
For a thousand years his people have toiled under the noble houses of the galaxy. They have lived under the boot for so long that most have forgotten their once great empire. When Kale learns the truths of those who oppress, he seeks to right the wrongs done to his people, in the only way he knows how...
Allegiances of noble houses and governments will sway with the changing tides as conflicts arise across the galaxy. Worlds will burn. Empires will rise and fall. Republics will tremble and shatter. An ocean of blood will be spilt for the whims of gods who have grown deaf to the cries of the many.
The time of the forsaken draws near and the very foundations of power will shake across the cosmos.

- BarnyBoyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I am glad that anyone can share their literary efforts these days, especially for free! It is nice to be able to read such a wide variety of works, unlike in the olden days when we were limited to printed books only published by a few companies.
On the other hand, we are now often deluged by a mountain of amateur writing that makes us forget what a truly great book looks like. Numbers go up! This is what we have become used to.
That being said, this story takes me back to the time when just about every author had to fight their way through the ranks of prospective writers just to get their work seen by others, much less make any kind of money. This story has a plot that takes me back to some of the greats. Each chapter makes me want to see further into the vision of what the author has in store for us. I cannot recommend this story enough.
Please, give this book a try. You will not regret it one bit... and remember that there is no need to thank me for letting you know about it. :) - GreenGRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This book starts with a Dune-like vibe but quickly becomes something more.
The writing is top-notch, with great characters, dialogue, and drama.
Magic is introduced through the character’s experiences, which is a nice change.
The author really knows how to pull at your emotions.
Grammar mistakes are very, very rare, and they get fixed quickly.
The unique POV switches keep things fresh.
I can't wait for the next chapters! - IgcisRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Read all night up to chapter 35, the suns up now and i have to go to work tired. I have read many stories on royalroad, but this is one of the best I've found. Read it before it gets published somewhere and removed from the site. I've paid for significantly less entertaining books.
Its fiction and seems to be inspired by space odyssey type novels like Dune. I have no complaints about anything. - JustJynxyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0From the very beginning you are captured by the character and become so familiar it is like experiencing the actions first hand.
The writing is capturing. So well written that I did not catch the plot twist until around chapter 43. A pleasant surprise as most books reveal too much and leave little to imagination with no surprises.
The writing is so descriptive it allows your imagination to wander through the pages living out the story instead of just reading words. You can literally see the emotion, the actions, and the settings in your mind. It is written so good you anticipate or fear the next event as though you are living it.
A pleasure to read and leaves you wanting more! I can hardly wait for the next chapters to continue on with the story. The author added in, by request of a readers poll, the points of view of some of the other characters, leaving you wanting more books on those characters as well.
For those of you looking for a good book, this is it…put this on your list of your next read. Well done Godric, congratulations on a writing as good as any NYT best seller.
More please! - KittyJinglesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Great writing, the world feels rich and the characters draw you in with their determination to survive. A grimly competent Aladdin in a brutal sci-fi desert world. First I'm hooked by his smaller personal betrayal and curious about revenge, but nine chapters in it's blood soaked and there's this much bigger conflict
It's not a fast progression dopamine thing it's more like a traditional book than web serial. The author does a good job of making me invested in the characters desires and rewarding those goals while expanding the scope of the story
I love the style of the story. The narration by the main guy flows so well and we learn so much of the world just by his calm description of what would be disaster or crazy action. It's a fully fleshed out world with it's own language that's woven in and not distracting or confusing or clunky
Grammar is impeccable and what few mistakes there are get corrected
The characters aren't flat or boring or annoying. His best friend is awesome and it's a really believable friendship, I like their banter and there's joy and camaraderie that shines all the brighter in the darkness of their situation. The people of his tribe I can't hate for not being nicer to him, it's a hard but believable situation
An action packed story with likable characters and stakes that go from survival to being a savior - Moonkiller24Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I dont normally writes reviews, but I cant help myself wishing to return a fraction of the love the author gave us by writing this.
The best worldbuilding I have seen in this decade, not joking.
A fantastic character arc, and in general extremly well written characters.
Hell, author invented a language for the story, a language!
Flaws?
Ummm, well good luck putting this down untill u reach the current chap, regardless of ur own responsbilites.
Oh and no sexual content yet, despite the tag.
... yeah look this book is basiclly perfection, now stop reading this review and come to get addicted! - RandomGuRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I dont normaly write reviews but this book is, at least right now, one of my absolute favorites on this site.
There are no unearned power ups everything the MC has he had to earn. There is also clear Character development which at least until now is logical and fitting for the tribulations the MC had to go through.
All in all I can only recommend to read this story.
I need more words stupid 200 words rule so yeah there is nothing more here just filler words. Oh yes until now there were no fillers or unnecessary chapters in the entire novel at least as far as I could tell. Still not enough words. word word word word word word word word word word word word word word word word word word. Ffs I am going insane here, why make it so difficult to submit an advanced Review, at least include a fckin word counter. Do single letters count as words? I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I. Damn this is worse than writing an essay for school was. Should be enough now. - Sixbees2Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Sci-fi is a tough genre to write in, but Godrick is one of the few authors to get it right in his novel. If you’re looking for a blend of Dune mixed with some promising aspects of cultivation mixed in, this is the novel for you. It’s got droves of potential just waiting to be read, from an intriguing political background slowly being built up and a main character who I’m excited to see grow, there’s many promising avenues where this story can go.
Plus, the author is awesome and engaging🔥👊🔥 - SwiftFatedRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Looks like we are seeing the beginning of a great epic. Traditional style of writing, with a planned 10 books in total (so far). I like it. We need to go back to this style of writing sometimes and this is the kind of story that suites it. Well written, well paced and excellent story in general.
Highly recommend this one to anyone looking for something new to read. - [Harken]Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I don’t usually review books but this one was an exception. The whole premise is great and the execution perfect. The characters are great and the main character actually cares about someone other than himself. I really love where the author has taken the story and I can’t wait for them to develop it further.
