Originally I would have brought down the score, but the author makes incredible progress in his writing ability as the novel goes on.  Not to say that the novel's begging is poorly written, no, it's just that as the writer continues to write, he finds his voice quite well.
    The good:
It is a entertaining story that I quite enjoy.  The pacing is decent in most areas, the detail and length of each chapters are well defined too.  Each character is flushed out later on, and the story is quite believable.
I only find a few grammatical errors each chapter, if any.  At most it's a forgotten letter or a misspelling of a word that slipped through editing.  Other than that it is edited quite well.
I LOVE how Adam has evolved over the story.  How he has learned, grown, and improved.  In the beginning he could barely deal with his feelings, now, he can actually ask someone to marry him.  Fun, fun, fun.
Things I thought weren't up to par:
    SPOILER!  SPOILER!!  SPOILER!!!
I didn't like the death of his first wife.  Not that it happened, I understand that.  Honestly though, it felt a bit rushed, sudden, and came at a shock to me, wondering if I had missed a chapter or something that led up to it.  It could have been expanded more, given more depth, and brought out more of the pain and loss to give us, the readers, more empathy as Adam falls into a poison addicted, alcoholic stupor.
Also, YOU DITCHED MY FAVORITE WOLF GIRL!  And I take exception to that.
Other than that, I honestly can't wait for more, and am so surprised that this novel hasn't had any reviews yet.  It's definitely a worthy read.  Thanks for the novel author!
