Description
Did [Data Redacted] know that isekai was a real thing? Yes. Was he right about a lot of the mechanics? Again the answer is yes... by 85 percent. But sometimes, it's that 15 percent that you got wrong that really hits ya. I wonder what the locals will say!
Greycore follows the death, afterlife, and reincarnation of someone that's not entirely wrong, but not entirely right.

- luda305Royal Road★★★★ 4.0So, to begin, the technicals of the writing are not bad, especially on a micro level. It's easy to read and mostly flows well except for when the protagonist is having his thoughts bounce around or blank out.
Which happens a lot and is my main problem with the story. From the synopsis, I thought it was going to be about someone isekai aware getting the cliches wrong 15% of the time and it being humorous. Rather, it's more like the protagonist was lobotomized. Or is short a few marbles from a full bag.
I'm saying he's an idiot. And the author does too. So, if you want to read about an idiot doing dungeon stuff, this is your story.
I do get the impression that the author has a hard time writing the protagonist. A big chunk of the writing is from other POVs and those are pretty good, albeit distracting from the alleged main plot.
I'll also say that it can get really tedious at times. Like sometimes it reads more like the event log for a dungeon master game rather than a piece of literature.
