This story is short and sweet. It follows the hijinks of Greg the Guard and the not-so-competent Chosen One as they travel to fulfill destiny, hand over squished donuts, and nearly destroy the kingdom. But hey, they're having fun doing it! (Well maybe not Greg) Truly, I enjoyed reading each chapter that came out and I laughed out loud multiple times while reading it. If you're a fan of quick comedy bites, fun character work, and just want to have an enjoyable time, I would recommend this story!

Very delightful read. This story was a light satire that does snap shots of events from occasionally different perspectives.
It was very similar to a disc world novel or other similar satirical work. MC isn't over powered but wields normalcy and sarcasm effectively.
I found myself either smiling or laughing along with the events. With a reasonable amount of chapters, it's an easy read with a nicely tied up ending.

One of the great challenges with comedy is sincerity. When something is insincere, at least so far as I'm concerned, it becomes less funny. The lack of heart is distracting at best, and disengaging at worst. So, I'm pleased to say this story excellently achieves that. It's very sarcastic, laughing at itself through the lens of the main character. But even if the subject is grim, it still manages to be light and airy. Yet it still somehow managed to be honest. I never feel like the jokes are disingenuous or unnecessary mean spirited.
All in all, this story is an excellent light read, very worthy of checking out if you like a absurdist humor and appealing characters.

Greg gets saddled with dealing with incompetents on the regular, sad to say that even the King is one of them and he gets stuck on an adventure where the normal idea of a 'quest' is flipped around. It is a fun and short read that spoofs the classic quest idea yet doesn't fly off the handle. The prose is short and sweet, the narrative voice of Greg is rather neutral and plain that mostly matches Greg's attitude. A fun read right to the end.

A nice compact adventure, with lots of fun included.
As a whole, the story doesn't take itself seriously, nor is it meant to. The world is a fairytale with normal people who just want to have a normal life.
I would recommend giving it a read if you got an hour or three. It'll give you a smile and maybe a chuckle.
