- NovloverRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0An intersting start, but a bit short on dialogue until now.
For now, the author seems to concentrate on discovering the system and building a skill-base for the MC.
Once more characters are introduced, the story should take off.
The system looks promising, simple and easy to understand, concentrating on a small number of complex abilities instead of creating an endless list of skills the half of which will be forgotten a few chapters later until the author looks back on his list and rembers them. - TheEarlofBronzeRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5The author seems to be struggling with the story and the lack of feedback so this is both a review for new potential readers and said feedback for the author combined.
-For new readers -
Simply put, despite my somewhat middling rating I'd recommend checking this out if you enjoy System-in-the-real-world stories. It's not exactly super original but I'd be lying if I said I was uninterested in seeing where it went. Up to chapter 14, the story is still in full-fledged prologue, and I'll likely come back and update this when i've got up to the end of said prologue, whichever chapter that ends up being.
Considering that, it's fairly heavy on both description and 'discovery' both of the new circumstances the MC finds himself embroiled in and the system itself, thankfully the chapters are relatively short so don't worry about getting bogged down in uber description chapters, this is no Delve.
The planning for and actual combat are both definitely the highlights of the story so far, the MC feels fairly competent and learns quickly without feeling entirely robotical in his mannerisms. All good signs so far. Dialogue and side characters are in limited supply so far and will update with comments on them as I continue through the story.
Essentially it's rough around the edges and could use some fleshing out but has potential to be a fun read. Though it's a long way off from being what I'd consider great, it's certainly 'moreish', which has a charm all it's own.

Alright you want some advice? Here's some thoughts to consider.
1. Title and Synopsis could probably use a change. Managing the expectations of new readers is key, if someone picks up the book because the title sounds interesting, expecting one genre/setting/story and gets another, they'll likely feel a sense of disatisfaction regardles of the story or writing quality.
2. Personal nit-pick, others may disagree, but I find 1 or 2 sentance paragraphs incredibly annoying and I often find myself skim-readi
