Description

The medical profession says there's nothing medically wrong with Sarah. Just... don't crowd her or she gets splitting headaches. Is it psychosomatic? A phobia? The computers have run out  of silly ideas to try to fix her phobia,  or whatever it is, (at least, ones she's willing to try) and there are hardly any humans involved in any kind of psych-counselling any more.

Oncethatquestion gets resolved, there are others. Like, for instance, why is God arranging that the Institute so many people with the Gift at the Institute, and why is next Valentines' day going to cause problems?

This series was mostly finished a over a decade ago, I'm actually publishing itfor the first time here on Royal Road.

Expect:

It's based on a future Earth, after our present decline into privacy-invadingchaos has been rejected.Conversation-driven story. No RPG elements.Daily chapters (or at least, 7 per week). Recent chapters around 5000-17000 words.Discussions on topics of faith, politics and technology. Some people can hear others' thoughts.Fewer people can read minds. It seems almost every main character falls in love.Other planets too, in later books of the meta-series.

Series 1 is long and probably too slow going for lots of people.Series 2is shorter, mostly stands alone and prepares for series 3 (i.e you shouldn't find much that's totally confusing if you start with series 2), which will finally get off planet Earth....

I decided to give your work a try to read something very different on RR. Plus, I noticed you didn't have a single review, which is pretty unfair. In that light, I hope my comments help your writing.
Style - interesting setting that is fairly unique for RR. Just the combination of different keywords to describe your story is pretty unusual and different. Also, you switch the focus character at good moments (with good breaks) so that the reader gets a fair understanding of the issues at stake. Style is good.
Story - I haven't gotten very far, but it's mostly either in or about the therapy sessions between the characters. That's a nice sort of story and I've seen it done before, but the pacing is slow. Unless you have something more substantial to draw along the reader, it's not very interesting. Perhaps if there was some suspicion that one of the characters wasn't sincere or truthful? For instance, maybe the girl was a suspect in a crime or murder? Or a witness at least. That would provide more interest and excitement. (obviously, this idea doesn't fit your story, but I'm trying to explain my point)
Grammar - Almost perfect. No complaints. There's a few HTML formatting issues, but nothing atypical.
Character - the characters need something. I'm not sure what. Also, the conversations seem a bit beyond belief. For instance, main male character keeps mentioning how he's injured and can't consummate a future marriage. He even mentions this to his patient or was that Kate again? Regardless, that's just strange. Wouldn't the greater hurt be the family that he lost? His focus on his future sex life (especially when thinking about his patient) is I guess reasonable if he's mentally ill himself - but he's way too messed up to believe. If he IS mentally ill, I guess that's interesting, but kind of too weird for comfort.
Finally... I'm not sure where to put this. All the points above are true, but it's not the reason I lost interest. It is fine to hear the characters discuss th
