THE NEW NOVEL FROM THEATRICAL ROCK BANDBLACK DIME CABARET.
Maria Lucien is infamous among the witches of the Black Dime Cabaret. Founded by her brother, Edgar, and now left in her hands, she has managed the cabaret in the ten years following his death. But when Edgar’s tomb is exhumed by fanatics, revealing secrets that leave a paper-trail to their family’s crimes, Maria’s place in the world is threatened.
Like most of the zany cast who inhabit the cabaret, Maria Lucien is a witch. Yet as she grows older, now in her sixties, the younger women will grasp at anything to abolish the little power she has left. Fearing she will become disgraced and abandoned by the witches she devotes her life to fostering, Maria travels to the French fortress of Carcassonne where her incompetent yet wealthy older brother Alfred rules as Baron, and crazed witches plot Maria’s downfall. Here, the question is posed: what horrors does it take for somebody to become one of the most powerful and influential witches in the world?
As the siblings bicker and fight to control the fate of their family, Maria follows a spiralling trail of debts and crimes committed prior to her brother’s death in order to preserve their secrets. But as she digs deeper, she finds that even in death, her brother has the power to destroy her future.

- TobiLujRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5With some amazing characters, when you can feel the relevance of every single one, an amazing ambience and some great twists. This book was so great, all the pov where on point, feeling like a fresh air every time another character took control.
Maria was an incredible main character, you can feel all of her internal problems and I love how every chapter you either love her or hate her
While I love Maria, I have to say that my favourite were Alfred, Remy and Antoinette, their pov were so fun to read.
The ambience as a story set on the 19 century was on point with both the description and the way of talk of the characters.
The interludes were some really fun chapters, while at the beginning you can't see how is going to connect with the rest of the story, eventually you'll see the amazing job Brandon did with that. Everything about the Sea Monster had me at the edge of my seat, between the mystery of what did Ramy do and the battle were Maria turned into the hero of the town
Overall Ghost of the Count is a great book and a really big part of the lore in the BDC Universe, can't wait to read the rest of the books and whatever you have on mind.
