Description
What would you do if you woke up to find that a parasite had taken over your body?
With the power to control a hive network, convert bodies of the slain into resources for growth, and dominate weaker minds, would you stay true to your sense of morality or take the cruel and bloody path to power?
In a perilous balance after being abandoned by his guild mates, Justin begins to ask himself that question. Forced to start assimilating the population of a primitive planet and grow the hive network if he wants to remain in command of his mind, he begins an endless and bloody quest.
How many lives will have to be sacrificed for Justin to find normalcy? How long will he be able to retain control?
How will the rest of the galaxy react when they realize the threat he poses?

- TranquilClawsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a hivemind evolution story with a polished system set in a sci-fi universe.
Style
The style of writing is straight and to the point. As a reader, I find I don't notice the word choice at all, which is generally great for immersion. There are multiple perspectives, but I feel they add more to the story than they split off from it, so that is a plus.
In summary, the style of writing is nothing special, but that is a good thing here, as it lets the author dive more deeply into the story, characters, and immersion.
Half a star off for the style being maybe a little too standard, if very polished.
Story
As of chapter 16, there are two sub-storylines slowly drifting in their own directions, but all with some connection to or promise of connecting to the main character's line, which is a good sign. The hivemind progression is paced well, and the world is set for a showdown of epic proportions (not to mention the beginning is already an example of a great action sequence).
At this early stage, I can say with confidence that this story will turn into something great, with multiple characters you either hate or love all getting themselves into larger plots with real consequences for them.
Grammar
Chapters have the occasional typo (I think I remember spotting one in the first chapter, could be wrong though). Overall, you can rest assured this author will deliver spotless or near-spotless chapters.
Character
The main character feels like a generalist, with no real defining traits, but that is okay, as it lets readers of all kinds connect with him. He is portrayed as rational and intelligent, which I find important in monster evolution stories where the main character often has to outwit overwhelming civilization-sized odds with an alien toolkit.
The side characters have more personality, but I have yet to see some of the deeper shades and hues of many secondary characters on the page yet. They are all solidly written, and all the major emotional points are there, it can
