Being a planet can be quite challenging especially when thye live in the most hostile environment known to man. Everything could technically end them. From other planets, wandering stars or even blackholess. There's a never ending list of things that could ruin their day. Atleast they have tentacles to protect themselves. What do you mean planets aren't supposed to have tentacle?
