Fun read, nothing mind-blowing. Compared to the author’s other Game of Thrones fic, the character here isn’t as strong, but the writing itself is definitely better. Chapters are a bit longer than usual, which is nice, but still feel kind of short overall.
The story moves pretty slowly, and while the main character acts logically, he seems a little too chill about everything going on around him. Still, it’s an easy, non-serious read that doesn’t try to be more than it is.
