Description

A superpower fantasy from the perspective of a goldfish.

Arthur Penfish is a mere fish with hopes of a humble yet worthwhile life. Unfortunately, that all changes when he jumps out of his fishbowl, killing himself. For some reason, he finds himself in a human body. He encounters a world torn between citizens, a Hero agency, sinister beings, and organizations who want no part of the aforementioned, but he doesn't care about them.

All Arthur wants is to place his previous owner into a fishbowl; it doesn't matter if that boy is the son of a renowned Hero. Or even the fact that people think he's the supposed "Wanderer," no matter what... He will put his owner into a fishbowl.

Schedule:Monday through Friday(Five times per week).

I mean just the premise alone is enough to get me hooked. Add onto that the recommendations from other authors, and the story itself and its as good as sold. What are you waiting for? Go read the damn story!!!! Definatly worth it ;). It keeps you trapped reading like the goldfish itself was.

I'm enjoying this story immensely, compliments to MelasDelta for the reccomendation. It's a manic ride through a strange world, with a wonderfully weird main character and premise. This is a fairly unique read, and I would reccomend giving it a shot, if only to experience the novelty perspective that is Arthur Penfish.
As for my main complaint, I'd say that this story is oversaturated with dialogue, to the point of me skimming through large chunks of some chapters. I'd also advise the use of more descriptors, to flesh out this world, as it is somewhat lacking the immersive quality of the fantasy genre. That said, it's not bad by any means. It simply could be better.

The interactions between people, whether it's via dialogue or actions seem like some kids are playing calvinball. This reads like a crackfic by someone that thinks crackfics make too much sense and aren't absurd enough. If it was just the MC I could understand this (they're a fish... so I'd be fine with them acting inhuman).
Suspension of disbelief is the game here... I normally love crackfics but this was too much for me. If you can maintain your suspension of disbelief I expect this will be interesting (there are probably a LOT of references, and I'm sure I missed some... without the immersion breaking they would probably be a lot of fun), but I kept losing my immersion every time anyone interacted.
So far there are quite a number of references to other media (I expect I missed some). The author put in ninja turtles (with serial numbers filed off), so far looks likes they were there just for the reference but maybe they'll return. The magic/power system so far appears to be Nen (from Hunter X Hunter)... again with the serial numbers filed off... but explained by people who... as you might expect... have taken a lot of crack.

Arthur lives in a world where you can find a hero or villain on the news. When Arthur gains superpowers, he decides that his goal in life is revenge. He wants to imprison the kid that drove him to suicide.
He "needs" to fight every "hero" to get to the kid, but he also doesn't want to be a villain. Arthur's plan is to do the thing and then die.
It seems like Arthur gets power from bitterness. He is reactionary from the start.
This is not a lighthearted comedy. Arthur is no clownfish.
