Description

Earth wasinvaded. Earth wasconquered. And humanity was summarilysubjugated, as 400,000,000 people wereculled. The terrifying part was this only took the Peacekeepers a second. There wasn’t even a chance for us to fight back. So, in the blink of an eye, questions like whether or not we’re alone in the universe or if we’re at the top of the food chain were answered. We were not. Not by a long shot.Despite the mass murder, the Peacekeepers promise they’re benevolent. They don’t want to rule Earth. They don’t want to control humanity. They just want us to stop playing around with AI and genetics.Willing or unwilling, Morgan and the rest of humanity are now members of the Collective. And like every species in the Collective, they have to learn to play the Game. So, what do you do, when an AI offers you the opportunity to play the greatest tower defence game the universe has ever created? You accept, of course.Learning the rules and finding a way to survive can come later.Morgan certainly thinks so.But when aliens are attacking your station, and giant, six-eyed rats are eating your robotic face, you start to have your doubts. Accidently starting a war doesn’t help, either. But what are you going to do? You’re the first line of defence —and you’ve got a job to do.

The premise of the story is great. I've found VERY few scientific technology based dungeon core books (I think ive seen 4 seperate series of them, including this).
The characters are really well written and the world building is just right.
The plot makes sense and there are good and realistic justification for everything (such as why they use remote controlled avatars instead of VR). The book may have some crazy technology but it is all something that could be feasible unlike other "science tech" books where we have completely unrealistic things.
The different alien civilisations found in this book are written really well.
All over, I find this as one of my favourite books and hope to see more of them soon (Mr Author says he was gonna write more but I havent heard anything in years D: )

This was a BLAST to read. The system felt fleshed out, the aliens unique but understandable, the collective vast and vibrant. The MC, his family and his ai all felt as real as my own, and i busted out laughing several times, as well as having my heart strings pulled when it was right. Couldnt recommended this story enough.

One of the best litrpgs i have seen so far. There is some repetition when the MC grinns a lot etc. But nothing to stop you from enjoying the book. Hopefully after tuning and editing this will be also available on kindle to add to my library :-)  Little bit short (cant wait for the second book) but amazing read for an afternoon.

Great job with this story and rich universe the author built. There are some weak bugs stomped, alien friends made, trash talk talked, and the walk walked. An overall great read. But no romance. Romance is dead?
I hope there is a continuation of this story! The author says with enough interest that would happen. Show some interest people!

This is a new twist on LitRPG.  It is a quasi-VR tower defense game that requires real world interactions and support on a global scale that will determine the future of humanity and every other race.  I especially love the hilariously pithy MC/AI dialogue.  BenjaminKerei does a great job of making unique worlds and stories that don't stagnate.  Both Welcome to the Universe and Oh Great, I was Reincarnated as a Farmer are quick reads that are engaging and keep the laughs coming cover-to-cover.

I liked the charactors and their interactions in this book, the family felt real and healthy. I also have a weakness for resource gathering and buildup stories (and games) and that this delivered. I'm tracking this and look forward to the next book in 3ish months. I'm now going to check out the authors other books to see if they're just as fun.

This story had me reading until after three in the morning. I was excited and laughing out loud as I read it. It is a tower defense book that is balls to the wall nuts. It is 0 to 60 in 6 seconds and the 60 to light speed in a minute.

Just a fabulous piece of literature. It has most of the things I have found myself enjoying in the last few years.
I hope more will be writen.
Just who wouldn't love a sarcastic, battle hungry towerdefence nerd statician, thrust in to an apocalyptic game of war, made by a peacful faction who killed 5% of humanity as the first action upon contact.

I've been bingeing this story and it's fantastic. A lot of action, a lot of humor, great characters, great worldbuilding, very well written, everything. Absolutely read it because it's fun and worth it.
I'm having a blast and it's putting me through the ringer. You should read it, too, and also 50 words is way too long for a review.
