Description
Earth wasinvaded. Earth wasconquered. And humanity was summarilysubjugated, as 400,000,000 people wereculled. The terrifying part was this only took the Peacekeepers a second. There wasn’t even a chance for us to fight back. So, in the blink of an eye, questions like whether or not we’re alone in the universe or if we’re at the top of the food chain were answered. We were not. Not by a long shot.Despite the mass murder, the Peacekeepers promise they’re benevolent. They don’t want to rule Earth. They don’t want to control humanity. They just want us to stop playing around with AI and genetics.Willing or unwilling, Morgan and the rest of humanity are now members of the Collective. And like every species in the Collective, they have to learn to play the Game. So, what do you do, when an AI offers you the opportunity to play the greatest tower defence game the universe has ever created? You accept, of course.Learning the rules and finding a way to survive can come later.Morgan certainly thinks so.But when aliens are attacking your station, and giant, six-eyed rats are eating your robotic face, you start to have your doubts. Accidently starting a war doesn’t help, either. But what are you going to do? You’re the first line of defence —and you’ve got a job to do.

- SkyDuckRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story was a great read, it's quick progression might be off-putting to some, but if that's what you like, like me, you would be very interested in this novel. I would recommend anyone give it a short read to take a grasp of the story to see if it's to your liking.
- MooshieDRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I just binged this during my work day because it was so fun and I couldn't put it down. The banter was fun, it was easy to read, the action was great and engrossing, and the tower/base building was interesting enough to be fun but not so dense and prevalent that I got turned off of it.
- Morris DarkstarRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I just binge read this story from start to finish in one sitting. I really enjoyed it. It still could use a bit of polish but the current state is better than a number of books I've enjoyed in Kindle Unlimited.
The story starts with Morgan having a horrible time trying to survive. He has an incredible struggle for the first day of his new 'game.' After that however he launches into the stratosphere and the difficulty he faces is rarely about combat after that (though there is plenty of it). His biggest struggle for most of the book is how to deal with everyone else around him outside the 'game' and accepting just how massively his circumstances and fate have changed. - NyamonesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Really loved this,
A novel take on the alien/system apocalypse and it strikes a nice balance between overpowered protagonist and overpowered enemies, that doesn't rely on constantly nerving the protagonist to keep up the challenge while also keeping an internally consistent outside threat that doesn't just include the GM (author) throwing a red dragon/rocks fall scenario at the MC just to keep up the pretence of danger
All in all lovely story that is great fun to read and I suspect to reread again in a couple of months
Would love a sequel/regular chapters
Thanks for letting us read it here - AlejoTheBearRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This was a BLAST to read. The system felt fleshed out, the aliens unique but understandable, the collective vast and vibrant. The MC, his family and his ai all felt as real as my own, and i busted out laughing several times, as well as having my heart strings pulled when it was right. Couldnt recommended this story enough.
- Fighting CrowRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I liked the stoty so much that i read it in one sitting. I hope the author will write the second book soon, becaus I'm sure a lot of people will enyoi his story as much as I did.

It is a quasi-VR tower defense game that requires real world interactions and support on a global scale that will determine the future of humanity and every other race. I especially love the hilariously pithy MC/AI dialogue. BenjaminKerei does a great job of making unique worlds and stories that don't stagnate. Both Welcome to the Universe and Oh Great, I was Reincarnated as a Farmer are quick reads that are engaging and keep the laughs coming cover-to-cover.
- Geoff KenyonRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I liked the charactors and their interactions in this book, the family felt real and healthy. I also have a weakness for resource gathering and buildup stories (and games) and that this delivered. I'm tracking this and look forward to the next book in 3ish months. I'm now going to check out the authors other books to see if they're just as fun.
- GibsterRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story had me reading until after three in the morning. I was excited and laughing out loud as I read it. It is a tower defense book that is balls to the wall nuts. It is 0 to 60 in 6 seconds and the 60 to light speed in a minute.
- TetronRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a great book. It is one of the first times I have seen a gamer actually demonstrate gaming acumen. There are a great many stories that start with a "pro gamer" who shows nearly zero efficiency in his play style. It was rewarding to finally see one written well
