Favor of The Gods

True submission is the only path to freedom.

Legend says that once, the lands of Aedon were favored by the Gods. The lands overflowed with life. As the Empire grew, so did greed. The forsaken emperor pillaged, enslaved, and killed for only his greed. With this darkness, the gods turned away from Aedon. Favor dwindled, and with it, the lands dried up, leaving behind arid deserts.

The Valeha, once a powerful clan of witches cursed to be subservient to the first person they lay their eyes on, have all but gone extinct. Kalina, the last Valeha, embarks on her journey to serve the cruelest man in the empire.
