Fated To Fall: A Transmigrator LitRPG Tale
Community Rating
Description
She had welcomed Death with open arms, and was more than happy to spend her afterlife floating in the void. Until a Goddess decides she has better plans for her and offers her a choice any fantasy loving geek would die for. However after accepting the offer she learned the hard way that one should always read the fine print, especially when dealing with a God.
Now her new life has begun, only she's been dropped into the world of her favorite game. Except, instead of becoming a side character or even one of the heroes of the game she's inhabiting the body of the game's final boss, 8 years before she became the villainess. Now she has to navigate a hostile home where her own father sees her as nothing more than a pawn on a chessboard, and her stepmother wants her dead to free up succession for her son. She has to try to navigate the confusing relationship between herself and her stepbrother, who could be her greatest ally or her most dangerous foe. The original Liliana Rosengarde fell from grace and burned the queendom on her quest for revenge. Can she prevent that fate from happening and save the queendom, and her own life?
And maybe, she's not the only one who needs to be saved.
She'll need to gather allies, both human and beast, if she has any hope of subverting the destiny that was already written for her.

- Outback QuillRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A LitRPG with a little bit of villainy. While we get off to a slow start, that isn’t a bad thing as the author builds a well thought out world. The systems are balanced, and not overly in your face which is my personal preference.
Style
Decently paced, and while there are some ‘sticky’ spots they are few and far between. World building, and systems flow naturally, without being over done. I don’t feel bogged down with info dumps, which is hard to find in most stories floating around RR.
Grammar
Overall the grammar and spelling are very good, which is a merit to the author. I can’t even count the number of stories I’ve dropped over poor grammar. While I did note a few minor issues, they do not take away from the story, and from what I can see in the comments the author is quick to fix any bigger mistakes.
Story
While the story is still in its first steps, with building the world and introducing some characters. The author does a good job of setting up the greater story arc, and creating interest in what is to come.
Character
Ah, the beloved MC halo, blessings and good fortune abound. A trope I both love and hate. This well written main character makes this one of the times I love the trope.
But in all honesty, we all know the real MC isn’t Liliana… its the cute and cuddly beasties. - ncross11Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I like it. I has a solid foundation, the potential of OPness but from hard work too, and I am excited to see more. And the future social interactions will be fun as well. I wonder what else the author has in store? I will follow with intrest. And now I need more words, words
- DondokinRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I came for the downtrodden villainess with a system. I almost left because the system causes my eyes to glaze over.
But! This isn't your classical revenge fantasy. This is a story of a living breathing world, that the MC was reincarnated into.
The developing relationships between her, her brother, the stepmom and the father make for incredible stuff! Keep going, I can't wait to read like 400 chapters of this
I should also note that this is a "villainess" novel in the same way that otome-isekai have villainesses. Which is to say a good person in a villains body. Think Bakarina but a much worse world. - FIRESWORD15Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is one of the best stories that I have been able to read and not stop halfway through because of the repetitiveness, but this story is one that I have just sat down to binge for a weekend reading all 200+ chapters.
If I had one critique it would be that it updates sporadically but, I don't blame the author for that I myself have tried to write a book and failed after the first chapter because it's hard to make a good and engaging story like this. - VictisaadiRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5An incredible read for an emotional, painful story. The lowest lows are only in contrast to the highest highs, and this story provides both, with plenty of funny and enjoyable moments alongside heart-wrenching struggles and extremely well-written psychological breakdowns. Protagonist is unique in approach, mentality, and powers, making the story compelling whether you're there for the unique world and story, the multifaceted characters and their personal growth overcoming traumas and hardship, or just the sweet RPG mechanics and cool powers. I've read countless manga and manwha, but this is likely my favourite isekai yet.
Story focuses on the psychological hardships of the protagonist, including their breakdowns and traumas, rather than obsessing over objectives or gamified mechanics. What RPG mechanics it does possess are prevalent and interesting as a part of the world, but without giving away nonstop powers for free or becoming overwhelming with excessive new abilities. A well defined system is used for RPG mechanics, allowing for easy fantasizing about what you'd do in such a world, and keeping the protagonist in check even as they grow powerful. Story has many triggers, and makes sure to mark relevant chapters with clear trigger warnings. Easy five stars.
Characters are diverse, interesting, and never dull - there are no clean-and-simple trope characters. Protagonist is fun, badass, and heart-wrenchingly human in their suffering. Easy five stars.
Style is strong. The pacing and exposition was well-managed, and the flow of the story kept me going till I had binged 180 chapters in three days, though the characters and story obviously contributed. As it's harder to judge I feel safe giving it a 4.5.
Grammar are acceptable, though there are rare cases of misplaced commas or sentences that should be broken up. Enough to notice if you've got a critical eye, but not enough to disrupt or de-value the storytelling. An inevitable cost, perhaps of the quantity of content - ArmorienRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Style - The prose and the way its written is suitable to the story, and serves to convey meaning while also being stylistically great. While not too 'flowery' or possesing of a extremely unique writing style, many will find that to be a good thing, due to its greater ease of access and reading.
Grammar - Did not notice any problems, and if there was, then they were quite small and unnoticeable.
Story - The story so far is quite interesting, the premise and setup of a terminally ill girl being reincarnated isn't something I've seen in before, and the flashbacks and details of her past in her new life is also interesting. One thing I'm really curious about, is the implications that the Goddess was able to transfer her into a game while also being the Goddess from said game? I might be overthinking it, but the idea that the game world exists as some parallel world thing, really interests me for some reason, though I can't quite put it into words.
Characters - The main character herself 'Liliana' is the selling point of the story arguably, due to it taking place from her perspective. She's also the most interesting one so far, and the one we have a really good understanding of, as the other characters have not received much exposition yet. That being said, while we don't know too much of the other characters, their small pieces of dialogue does characterize them quite efficiently.
Overall, really looking forward to see how it continues! - NotGoodAtNamingRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I must admit that I don't really like the transported into a game/book you know plots. The MC knows everything and it mqkes it boring. Here its not the case, even the opposite, and yiu could easily rewrite it so the MC doesnt know the setting.
All in all I enjoyed reading this. The characters are relatable, the MC isnt OP but has some nice bonusesand the battles are fun without too much crunching. - cadambankRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I like that the main character tries to get better with her brother and his friend. Them being kids and them apologising sincerely later makes it better. People forget how exhausting in real life is to continually hate people.
She doesn't try that with her Step mother since there is no response in return for that. Same for her father. It makes sense. Overall a good story. Would love it more if the angst bits are toned down when not necessary. - FlamingFalconRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Honestly I have really enjoyed this novel.
It's made the emotions roll, had sad moments happy moments, frustrating moments and you want the Mc to succeed.
It covers a variety of themes and the world is chock full of things to see and do, each character is fully built and acts true to their personalities.
Each part of plot was well spaced out as well so you can actually feel what is intended without being overwhelmed and it gives the emotional response you want.
The problem comes now, around my current chapter in the academy arc, it's nightmare after nightmare and the MC's thoughts roll in circles. It made sense for a while, when it was in response to an event (I'm not gonna say it for spoiler reasons), anyway she is also seeing a "therapist" now and you'd think she gets better. But there has been 1-2 too many loops into certain moments caused by the return of the amulet which won't get solved due to some trauma re-revealing its head.
The amulet itself wouldn't be a problem, but with the constant emotional circles surrounding it and her unwillingness to actually find a way to solve it, means I need a break.
(btw sorry if some of this doesn't feel like a review, I use reviews to get my thoughts on paper as reminders to myself as well as to talk about the story) - floweredRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Who needs a plan B? Unknown monsters not according game knowledge, haha why bother looking it up! Learn to scout, lay traps, ensure you have safe breaks/camps or any tactic/strategy/planning is missing.
Conclusion: Every trip, the young maiden's life is reduced to an object of mad luck, which - as we know - is only ever afforded in finite, minute quantities.

Unless.. plot armor!
She should've learned from her teacher but it sure doesn't look like it.
Still it's quite enjoyable read if you turn off your brain, wonder if she actually learns from her mistakes but I doubt it.
