Description
A college student finds himself transported into a strange land with burgeoning magical powers, and is taken in by Ned Stark. Will he sink or swim in this medieval society, and will he ever get home?
======================
OC-insert without knowledge of Game of Thrones, new planeswalker. Slow power ramp.
Second crossover: Star Wars (around chapter 39).
=======================
As a note, I started this as a speed writing challenge to myself. The challenge was successful, and I managed 100,000+ words (as well as some character sheets in excel and such) over 10.5 days. Then I had to stop and let my hands recover from their burgeoning carpal tunnel syndrome. The story currently stands at around 150,000 words (or ~550 RRL pages) over 54 chapters; expect a chapter a day until I've caught up with the backlog.
The focus of this story wasnotquality writing, and that hasn't changed. I mostly use it as my semi-guilty "I need to writesomething, but am not focused enough to write something good" story. Expect self-indulgent writing in general, and a bit of OP (or, well, more thanjusta bit if we're being honest), especially later in the story as the protagonist matures into a more full-blown Planeswalker.
But if you're looking for something with a power-ramping protagonist romping around the place, something you'd be a bit embarrassed to admit liking (I know I am) but likeanyways(and come on, thisisRRL, so that probably describes just about everyone here who actuallyhasshame), then this may be a nice bit of mental junk food for you.

And this story has Force chocked me into giving my first review at rrl this year. - DonflufflesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0My only regret is that i didn't discover this sooner. Utterly brilliant, an imersive read that i finished in one sitting...(seriously i read it all in one go and my eyes are killing me). cannot reccomend it enough!
- Mark215Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0i love a good fanfiction were a person ends up in a diffrent world with powers that can become powerful over time
- oldest-gitRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I love it.
Considering that this is speedily written it is great. You tend to gloss over scenes, which was going to be inherent due to your speed, but you succinctly convey it which is massive kudos to you.
If you could later on come back and flesh out the story a bit, perhaps a bit more 1st person and dialogue I would perhaps say it would be perfect so far. I have just hit chapter 28, and so the only thing I am wary about is the story falling into a similar trap as Game of Thrones. Where instead of everyone dies, which can get boring quick, this story is permanently success after success, which would get boring.
I’m sure if I re-read it I would notice more glaring corrections that might be needed, but my first impression: awesome. Give me more. NOW!!!! ;) - Rank 9Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5I can't wait till he meets other Almighty's in different world and how he will interact and deconstruct their powers for more effective and esoteric magic.planeswalkers FTW
- Clegaspi012Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5The beginning is pretty weak but other than that the story is entertaining and fun and makes wish he did more than just one chapter a day. It’s a really good series so give it a try so that way he doesn’t drop this book. So please read this novel. To many good series get dropped and I really hope this won’t end up as one of them.
- MichizureRoyal Road★★ 2.0I agree completely wth the TELL NOT SHOW review. The work started off okay, but instead of getting better it got worse in the level of just plain description of magic that ultimately has almost nothing to do with the plot at all. Most chapters have maybe two paragraphs of actual stuff happening, most paragraphs can be skimmed past without reading more than the first line to see if it is still blathering on. That being said i've read worse, and despite all I just said I have read up until 52 (latest chapter at this point), so if you can ignore the blocks of useless information and skim to the parts that are actually story, it is... I wont say good... but at least entertaining enough to keep your attention, at least it is to me. Beyond that it is a shameless self insert and hardly original. This is a fanfic, so what I mean by original is it didn't really feel like a new story in a set universe, or like an addition to an existing story, it was just mostly taking the major plot points of the original stories that give them all the drama and just throwing them out the window and solving them using OP magic. At the end of the day it just felt like you read the bulletpoints of the original story made worse by having basically no drama or interesting characters. The characters are... well not realistic. None of the characters feel like they are the characters from the original work, nor do they work as original characters. They mostly just seem to exist to react to the main character, with for the most part bland reactions and barely a hint of any sort of personility. The main character himself doesn't have much more character than just being OP and feeling like the solutions to the plot points in the stories are somehow obvious, and look how easily I can solve them blah blah blah. Cut out 95% of the descriptions of the magic, and focus more on character development, keeping the barest skeleton of plot points and maybe you could do something with this, but it would be very
- TussunamiRoyal Road★★ 2.0I would have like to give a higher score as it's well written and well thought universe.
But boy, it is really hard to read without human interactions. At leash if it was a litrpg style it would have shown some nice progress etc. Alas, we don't have such an approach, neither.
Some might really enjoy it, but I am tired of reading whatever passes through a person minds.
Grammar and characters themselves (MC and others if we can see them) are top notch 5/5 but rest is really hard to read. - LordPrettyFlackoRoyal Road★★ 1.5If you’re excited about 90% description and 10% actual action then this is the story for you! The begining of the story showed promise, at first I thought the giant blocks of prose talking about what the character is planning or has done was just world building and an introduction to the character. But as you read on, there is very little actual dialogue, very little description of EVENTS. Rather more about how much mana and magic the MC is using. Literally all the story entails is an enormous display of tell but not show. Main villians of game of thrones die off insignificantly and with zero drama. There is nothing “slow power ramp” about this fiction. The grammar is perfect but style and storywise, there’s nothing special about this particular piece.
- joeintokyoRoyal Road★ 0.5Enjoyed it but seems like personal politics are bleeding through more and more lately. Kind of offputting as its going on about bleeding heart pacifist left wing pansies whining about things while gritty realisitic right wing tough guys get things done and fix all the problems.
