Fang of the Gods [COMPLETED]

The gods are watching.

In a world where prehistoric monsters live side by side with humanity, the empire of Angelar thrives where the palm forests meet the open fields. But the peace brought by this ancient civilization may be only surface deep. The new emperor is week, and desperate to find a power which can secure his throne. Nobles plot against him. Foreign powers lurk beyond the borders, eager for any sign of weakness, and the tribes that share the empire's land grow more and more frustrated with the emperor's indifference, on the verge of rebellion.

Caught up in this storm are a temple acolyte, an inventor eager to prove themselves, a young man who works the dung piles outside the city, and a handful others. Some will rise from humble beginnings, others will tap into ancient powers both light and dark. But they'll all struggle to survive the chaos, because there's more at stake here than the fates of nations or an emperor's ambition....
